Vermont residents strongly oppose the decision to capture Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro and less than one-tenth support sending ground troops to occupy the country. Vermonters also oppose occupying Greenland or launching military attacks in Mexico or Colombia. Overall, three-quarters of Vermonters oppose President Trump's handling of foreign policy and rate the reputation of the U.S. among the rest of the world as poor or very poor.

In the race for the open seat of retiring Senator Jeanne Shaheen, her predecessor, former Senator John E. Sununu, leads former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown for the Republican nomination, while Congressman Chris Pappas is the Democratic favorite. Pappas leads both Sununu and Brown in general election matchups. In New Hampshire's First Congressional District, Stefany Shaheen leads a large field of candidates seeking the Democratic nomination while most Republican voters are undecided. In the Second District, incumbent Democrat Maggie Goodlander is well ahead of her primary challenger and leads 2024 Republican opponent Lily Tang Williams in a hypothetical 2026 rematch.

The New Hampshire Voluntary Paid Family And Medical Leave Program: Did The Program Increase Coverage?, Kristin Smith

In this brief, author Kristin Smith evaluates whether the New Hampshire Voluntary Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) program increased paid family and medical leave coverage. The NH Voluntary Paid Leave program launched at the start of 2023. Granite State Poll data show no change in the share of workers with medical, parental, or fam­ily medical leave benefits between December 2022 (pre-program) and December 2024. Specifically, about 3 percent of New Hampshire workers were enrolled in the NH PFML program by June 2025. In the first two- and one-half years of the program, it did little at the state level …

This doctoral capstone highlights a gap between data collection practices and nonprofits, which impacts participation rates of children experiencing poverty. This gap is an issue for nonprofits because stakeholders and donors are more likely to fund organizations that can provide impact data about their services. This capstone addresses that gap through creating and implementing data collection and program evaluation for a grassroots nonprofit that funds enrichment programs for children experiencing poverty in southeastern Massachusetts. As AI tools are becoming more integrated in higher education, how these tools may impact students’ perceptions of their own independent writing and communication skills has been questioned. This study seeks to understand how reliance on AI writing tools in higher education influences students’ perceived preparedness and confidence in their independent writing and communication skills. Survey data was collected from 102 university students; after removing incomplete entries, 99 responses were included in the final analysis. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Spearman correlations, and Mann-Whitney U tests.

With the rising worldwide adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), there is a pressing need to investigate how AI affects human cognitive abilities. Prior research has looked at how using the Internet to search for answers to questions leads to overconfidence in one’s explanatory abilities. In the present set of studies, we examine how using AI to search for answers affects an individual’s confidence in their explanatory abilities, as well as their curiosity about answers to questions. This experiment investigated the effects of a green manure (Lemna minor, common duckweed) grown in varying levels of heavy metals and inoculated with local microbiomes on a crop (Lactuca sativa, volcana lettuce). The growth and health of the duckweeds were measured via root length and biomass, and the health of the lettuce crop was measured via head diameter and biomass.  Two levels of heavy metal concentrations were based on real-world stormwater runoff data to mimic an agricultural environment where accumulation of metals in local water bodies may be absorbed into green manure duckweeds. Despite growing participation in women’s sports, media coverage continues to reflect significant gender disparities. This thesis examines how ESPN, as a leading sports media network, contributes to the construction of gendered narratives through its coverage of women’s sports and female athletes. Drawing on framing theory, agenda-setting theory, and social identity theory, this study analyzes headlines, visuals, language, narratives, and broadcast patterns to explore how meaning is constructed in sports coverage.

The following review examines how youth exposure to sexual images online is conceptualized and measured as abusive within epidemiological research on online child sexual abuse (OCSA). As digital environments reshape sexual socialization, scholars debate whether and when exposure to sexual content constitutes abuse. To address this issue, this study conducts a qualitative content analysis of 27 survey items drawn from 20 empirical studies of youth online experiences. Survey questions about sexual image exposure were coded across four dimensions: volition, personalization, image or text, and explicitness. Findings reveal significant definitional inconsistency. Multidisciplinary analysis, including biology, psychology, and sociology, to better understand the compulsory Hookup Culture that exists as a contemporary public health concern among the age group defined as emerging adults. Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) diagnoses are steadily rising in the United States and disproportionately affecting college students. Early socialization and current educational resources that contribute to shame and stigma are discussed to explain how lifestyle and social conditions can act as risk factors for individual health outcomes.
