Total Vote Runoff: A Majority-Maximizing Form Of Rank Choice Voting
Total Vote Runoff: A Majority-Maximizing Form Of Rank Choice Voting
The University of New Hampshire Law Review
Total Vote Runoff (TVR) is an electoral system designed to be identical to Instant Runoff Voting (IRV), which is the most commonly understood and implemented form of Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) in the United States, except for one key detail. Like IRV, TVR sequentially eliminates the weakest candidate on the ranked-choice ballot when no candidate is ranked first on a majority of ballots. Unlike IRV, however, TVR identifies the weakest candidate to be eliminated based on the total votes each candidate receives on all the ballots, rather than just the number of first-place votes (as IRV does). A candidate’s total …

Very few Granite Staters support moving New Hampshire's state primary to June. State residents say jobs and the economy and housing are the most important problems facing the state and most residents see homelessness as a very or somewhat serious issue.

Tuning Shear Thinning Factors Of 3d Bio-Printable Hydrogels Using Short Fiber, Slesha Tuladhar, Scott Clark, Ahasan Habib
New Hampshire EPSCoR
Among various available 3D bioprinting techniques, extrusion-based three-dimensional (3D) bioprinting allows the deposition of cell-laden bioink, ensuring predefined scaffold architecture that may offer living tissue regeneration. With a combination of unique characteristics such as biocompatibility, less cell toxicity, and high water content, natural hydrogels are a great candidate for bioink formulation for the extrusion-based 3D bioprinting process. However, due to its low mechanical integrity, hydrogel faces a common challenge in maintaining structural integrity. To tackle this challenge, the rheological properties, specifically the shear thinning behavior (reduction of viscosity with increasing the applied load/shear rate on hydrogels) of a set of …

M.S. in Health Care Management
This project aimed to create a framework to safely and efficiently recruit United States Air Force medical technicians into the Aeromedical Evacuation specialty directly from Aerospace Medicine Services Apprentice technical training. This project was selected to address a current manning restraint due to relying on candidates to already be qualified medical technicians performing duties at their first assignment or later. The methods used were comparing the current state with existing processes similar to the goals of this project as well as feedback from subject matter experts’ recommendations. The results of this project were promising as several courses of action proved …

Gaps And Vantages In Mental Health And Homeless Veterans, Bruce Hidden
M.S. in Health Care Management
This project explored the current homeless population in New Hampshire’s Hillsborough County for veterans with mental health challenges. The objective was to identify the gaps and vantages between two important identifiers. One important statistic in the SWOT analysis is the demand for more veterans to be advocates for themselves as well as organizations merging their services to decrease and potentially end the homeless veteran challenges. Government funding has reached a high percentage of veterans. The results have been overall positive as the facts show trends leading to potentially ending homelessness and aiding mental illness in homeless veterans. The conclusions derived …
