Ec46-223 My Kitchen Jan 1946

Ec46-223 My Kitchen

University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension: Historical Materials

I have often dreamed of having a kitchen which would be cheerful, convenient, cleanable, and comfortable. If we should build a new home, and I could create my dream kitchen, it would fit the needs of my family, our living habits, our standards of meal preparation and serving, the equipment we could afford, and the amount of help and company we are likely to have.

After looking at pictures and plans, reading literature, and talking to others, I believe that step-saving, workable kitchens don't just happen. There evidently are some basic principles to follow. Several years' experience can give a …

Ash Hollow Cave: A Study Of Stratigraphic Sequence In The Central Great Plains, John L. Champe Jan 1946

Ash Hollow Cave: A Study Of Stratigraphic Sequence In The Central Great Plains, John L. Champe

University Studies (University of Nebraska) (1888–1984)

The Great Plains has been an important laboratory for anthropological research since the latter part of the nineteenth century. Much of the early work was ethnological in character, a consequence, perhaps, of the late preservation of tribal life in the area. Nebraska Farm Building Data For South-Central Counties Taken From U.S. Census, R. M. Loper Jan 1946

Nebraska Farm Building Data For South-Central Counties Taken From U.S. Census, R. M. Loper

Department of Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering: Faculty Publications

The Material given on the following pages was selected from United States Census data for the years indicated.

It has been arranged to permit analysis and comparison of building trends since 1900, both in the state and in individuals counties. Such a study often reveals areas in which effective educational programs could be developed and indicates the phases of such programs which are needed most.

Unfortunately, complete 1945 figures are not available yet, but space has been left for them so that they may be added when released by the Census Bureau.
