Test 346: International Tractractor Model T-6 (Wide Tread) (Gasoline), Nebraska Tractor Test Lab

Nebraska Tractor Tests

All tractors tested at the Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory were certified by their manufacturers as being stock model machines, conforming to specifications filed with the application for test. No special or high-test fuels were used except as recommended by the manufacturer as necessary.

All results within the official tractor test report were actually attained in tests and are without correction or allowances for friction, temperature, altitude, etc. The results were initially accomplished with the tractor in charge of skilled operators employed by the University.

Unless otherwise noted, each tractor was apparently in good condition at the end of the testing …

4-H Keep Well One : Extension Circular 10-01-2, Mary B. Nelson

Nebraska 4-H Clubs: Historical Materials and Publications

In this 4-H Keep Well project, we will discuss some important things that are directly related to health, individuals vary as to type of build. Some belong to the tall slender type, some to the short stocky type, and others to the average. We differ because we have inherited different tendencies and because we have treated our bodies differently.

Amount Of Underground Plant Materials In Different Grassland Climates, S. B. Shively, J. E. Weaver May 1939

Amount Of Underground Plant Materials In Different Grassland Climates, S. B. Shively, J. E. Weaver

Department of Agronomy and Horticulture: Faculty Publications

From the highlands of central Mexico entirely across the United States and northward into Canada extends the great midcontinental area of grassland. From this central mass, prairie extends westward across Wyoming into eastern Utah, and southwestward through northern New Mexico into northern Arizona. Other grasslands in the northwest cover most of southern Idaho, a part of northern Utah, large areas in eastern Oregon and Washington, and recur in British Columbia. The Pacific prairie occupies the Great Valley of California, and the Desert Plains grassland much of southern Arizona and New Mexico and southwestern Texas. Together they constitute the Grassland or …

Further Studies Of Selected Types Of Domestic Gas Stoves, Arnold E. Baragar

Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station: Historical Research Bulletins

This bulletin is a supplement to Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station Research Bulletin 86. Tests were conducted in the same manner as were those described in Bulletin 86; hence, no reference has been made to experimental methods unless a test has not been previously reported. This paper is primarily concerned with (1) a discussion of cooking tops producing excessive carbon-monoxide gas, (2) more data relative to cooking-top burner efficiencies, (3) a further discussion of automatic lighters, and (4) a detailed study of ovens.

Fifty Years Of Achievement In Agricultural Investigation, R. T. Prescott Mar 1939

Fifty Years Of Achievement In Agricultural Investigation, R. T. Prescott

Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station: Historical Circulars

In Nebraska, a hustling frontier state in 1887, the legislature hesitated not at all in taking advantage of the provisions of the Hatch Act, and now that fifty years have elapsed since the Station was founded, seventy-five years since the Land Grant College Act was passed and the U. S. Department of Agriculture established, and almost twenty-five years since the Agricultural Extension Service was added, it seems worth while to present a general summary of achievement within the state. The main object will be to show some of the important things that have been learned through the investigations of the …
