This thesis is made up of twelve case studies completed during my junior year over various financial accounting topics. The class was led by Dr. Vicki Dickinson, who oversaw every aspect of each particular case study. The topics covered in this thesis range from various fields and expanded my knowledge on many accounting ideas. I know for sure that each case study prepared us as students for the ever-changing accounting world as we begin to start our careers in financial accounting.

Population Briefs

Monday’s release of the 2020 Census marks the culmination of work done by local civic and social organizations in partnership with the United Census Bureau to ensure an accurate count of the United States and Mississippi population. As the state of Mississippi seeks to actively attract businesses to the Magnolia state, accurate demographic information about the potential workforce is important. The release of Monday’s data showing the changing population dynamics of Mississippi will play a critical role in long-term planning as the state and counties invest in services like education, healthcare, and transportation.

An Analysis Of Cases Demonstrating Financial Accounting Fundamentals, Matthew Conroy

Honors Theses

The purpose of this paper is to analyze key financial accounting fundamentals through the completion of case studies administered during the 2020-2021 academic school year. These case studies have included in-depth analysis designed to provide insight into accounting topics that transcends what was learned through prior academic instruction. Comparing Lithic Artifacts And Native American Activity At Stark Farm, An Early Contact Period Site In Northeast Mississippi, Gillian Steeno

Honors Theses

Supposed ancestors of the modern-day Chickasaw, the occupants of Stark Farm inhabited the area known today as Starkville, Mississippi. These Native American peoples left behind archaeological evidence of their occupation, especially in the form of large midden-filled basins. In order to investigate these refuse pits, a lithic analysis was completed using stone typology in order to infer supposed activities. Each of the five contexts are compared to each other to determine which assemblages have similar elements and which ones prove to be unusual in comparison. Through this stone tool analysis, domestic and non-domestic activities and areas in the site can …

A Case Study Of French Feminism After The Metoo Movement From The Perspective Of A Feminist Organization, Laura Levensailor Apr 2021

A Case Study Of French Feminism After The Metoo Movement From The Perspective Of A Feminist Organization, Laura Levensailor

Honors Theses

Feminism is the advocacy for gender equality typically through the propagation of women’s rights. Feminism goes back as far as the human race, and it is constantly evolving. The waves of feminism have been well documented and studied, but as time goes on, there is always more research to be done on modern feminism. The MeToo movement became popularized in 2017 and is still settling into history. It is still not fully researched or documented, and its effects on society are still developing. This thesis seeks to contribute to the understanding of the MeToo movement and its global effects.
