Carbamazepine (CBZ) is an anti-convulsant and specific analgesic for trigeminal neuralgia that reduces polysynaptic responses and blocks post titanic potentiation. Moreover, CBZ is effective in partial and generalized convulsions and mixed types. It is not effective in petit mal seizures. Carbamazepine extended-release tablets are used to treat episodes of mania (or) mixed episodes i.e., symptoms of mania and depression that happen at the same time, in patients with bipolar disorder. “More than a Feeling: Materializing Sympathy in Nineteenth-Century American Literature” breaks from a long tradition of criticism that only considers the nineteenth-century belief that sympathy was a benevolent, voluntary, imaginative act of feeling that maintains moral rectitude through the identification of suffering with others. In this context, sympathy is primarily defined as identificatory sympathy. “More than a Feeling” expands the definition of sympathy in the nineteenth century as also something that could be atmospherically communicated, transmitting good or bad feeling, and thus affecting and infecting those around them. This project examines three texts each from three Mississippi authors working today: Kiese Laymon, Jesmyn Ward, and Mary Miller. These authors’ literary constructions of their home state and the South as a whole serve as critical, political frames for the United States. The aim of this study was to develop an amorphous solid dispersion (ASD) of fenofibrate using Hot Melt Extrusion (HME) and 3D printing. By using HME, 3D printable filaments were prepared. Fenofibrate (10% w/w), Soluplus®, and Polyethylene oxide-N80 were used to prepare the HME filaments. The filaments were divided into two parts, the first part was used as a feedstock for the Fused disposition modeling 3D printing (FDM 3D printing) to print fenofibrate tablets with different percent infill densities, 90%, 70% and 50%. Although podcasts as a whole are growing in popularity, the true crime genre of podcasts continues to be especially popular, particularly with female listeners. The unique intersection of informational and entertainment goals associated with true crime podcasts raises ethical questions about how these priorities should be balanced. This study aimed to formulate and evaluate Isoniazid-Pyridoxine-loaded gummies for use in a population ranging from pediatric to geriatric and to study the applicability of BIO X 3D printer in printing gummy formulations. Semisolid extrusion (SSE) 3D printing is an emerging technology in personalized medicine. To address clinical multi-dose requirements, SSE has been explored to manufacture new preparations. This thesis employs a mixed methods approach to investigate LGBTQ communities in Oxford, Mississippi, within the unique context of the Bible Belt panopticon. Through an examination of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Oxford (UUCO) and Oxford Pride, the study delves into the themes of visibility and surveillance, resistance and subversion, community and identity, and institutional interactions and impacts. Incels constitute an online community characterized by shared negative perspectives concerning masculinity, women, and societal norms. Platforms such as Twitter and Reddit have implemented content moderation measures aimed at curtailing the dissemination of incels' ideologies, which often promote violence and suicidal ideation. To observe the influence of content moderation on incel discourse, this study examined posts from two distinct incel forums: one subject to moderation and another without such restrictions. Employing thematic analysis, common themes within the posts were identified, and the occurrence of negative language was quantitatively assessed. Purpose: To 1) investigate whether the cross-education effect from high-load training can augment the strength changes in the opposite arm undergoing the same training; 2) examine if the cross education of strength depends on limb dominance; and 3) examine if the cross-education of strength can be translated to increases in muscular endurance.

Methods: 160 participants were randomized into high-load training on both the dominant and non-dominant arm (D+ND), training on the dominant arm only (D-Only), training on the non-dominant arm only (ND-Only), and non-exercise control (CON). Glycans initiate host–pathogen interactions in two particular infectious diseases, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and urinary tract infections (UTIs). In this work, recent advances of computational tools in drug design are utilized to target these glycanspecific host–pathogen interactions for the potential prevention of SARS-CoV-2 or UTIs.

In this study, I will explore some of the root causes behind middle school students' failure to attend class. Data shows that students are labeled chronically absent when they miss more than 10% of a school year, regardless of the absences- expelled, unexcused, or suspended. According to the U.S. Department of Education, about seven million students were labeled chronically absent in the 2015-16 school year, equating to roughly one out of every six students across the United States being absent for 15 or more days. This investment, referred to as the Mississippi Connects Initiative, funded state level infrastructure improvement, bulk device purchasing, digital subscription purchasing, telehealth and teletherapy resources, and professional learning for educators. Background: Recent sprint interval training studies suggest cardiorespiratory fitness improves after training with 2 x 20s but not 1 x 20s. While insufficient for improving whole-body cardiorespiratory fitness, vascular function or other components of cardiorespiratory fitness may improve. It is unknown if brief intense exercise bouts are sufficient for improvements in these outcomes. This initial exploratory work investigated these outcomes to facilitate future research in this area. This study investigates the effects of different high school scheduling practices on student achievement in Mississippi, considering school economic status as a covariate. Using a robust factorial ANOVA design, the research analyzes reading proficiency, math proficiency, and Mississippi Statewide Accountability System school performance scores across 149 public high schools, excluding those with grades other than 9 through 12, private schools, and charter schools. The primary goal was to determine whether schedule type significantly influences academic performance, independent of economic status. Young adults (aged 18-25) were identified as the most stressed age group due to internal and external factors that are relatively unique to their group. High stress levels are alarming as they coincide with a multitude of adverse effects on psychological health, including difficulty falling and staying asleep, reduction in overall sleep quality, and exacerbated depression and anxiety symptomatology. Individuals with military backgrounds are significantly more likely to experience mental health concerns, including suicidal ideation. Moral injury, which is associated with suicidality, is the feeling of shame, grief, and guilt associated with perpetrating, failing to prevent, or witnessing morally transgressive acts. According to the Moral Injury Model, when one acts or witnesses an act that transgresses their moral beliefs, they experience dissonance and internal conflict. Dunc13 is a Drosophila active zone protein homologous to the mammalian Munc13that interacts with RIM and Rab3 as a heterotrimer. Alcohol binds to the C1 domain of Dunc13/Munc13 and inhibits its ability to bind to Diacylglycerol, inhibiting neuronal signaling. The genetic reduction of Dunc13 activity in the Dunc13P84200/+ heterozygotes induces a state in flies that mimics alcohol tolerance, evidenced by increased self-administration, and behavioral, physiological, and molecular resistance. This includes changes in the expression of key synaptic proteins, such as decreased expression of Dunc13 and Syb mRNA, and increased expression of Rim and Rab3 4hrs after ethanol exposure.
