An Academic Honor Code was passed by the Academic Senate on April 25, 2008, and in the same time period by the Student Government Association. That Academic Honor Code contained the major issues associated with student dishonesty and an appeal process, although there were sections of the code that were not clear. Also, the appeal process did not have a form by which the appeal process could be followed and documented. Those issues, along with several others, were addressed in a revised Academic Honor code that was approved by the Academic Senate on March 13, 2015. These revisions replace DOC …

Oncology Rehabilitation in Practice

Introduction: 19.9 million new cancer cases and 9.7 million cancer deaths occurred globally in 2023. 90-95% of cancers originate from environment and lifestyle choices. Age is a prominent non-modifiable risk factor for cancer development, so it is essential that older adults are informed on lifestyle factors affecting their cancer risk. Physical therapists (PTs) play a major role in educating and advocating for healthy cancer preventive behaviors. The purpose of this study was to describe outcomes of an educational intervention relating to cancer prevention in community-dwelling older adults.

Cultural differences are increasingly being analyzed in a globalized world to minimize conflict and optimize successful intercultural interactions. Among the most used cultural frameworks is Hofstede's cultural dimensions. This framework has, however, been criticized as stereotyping nations and individuals from different countries instead of raising awareness and minimizing cultural conflicts. The paper will utilize Hofstede's cultural dimensions to discuss the differences and similarities of cultural behavior within these dimensions. Research and Reflection on Learning and Teaching in Higher Education

This article tells the story of a long-term (12-year-old) and ongoing participatory community action research in homeless shelters – the Behavioral Activation Research Project in Homeless Shelters (the project), which represents a long-term collaboration between Roger N. Reeb, PhD (Professor of Psychology) and St. Vincent de Paul (Dayton, Ohio). The first section of this article provides a grand overall description of the project, summarizes past research, and explains how we sustained the project during the COVID-19 pandemic.
