Still We Remain: Living Religious Liberty Consciously And Unconsciously, Shawnee Daniels-Sykes S.S.N.D.
Journal of the Black Catholic Theological Symposium
Here, Dr. Daniels‐Sykes explores the principle of religious liberty, which has become one of the focal points in the current health care debate. She considers how one should ‘live’ religious liberty from the perspective those parishioners who live on the margins – those whose parishes have been closed, and the victims of individual and institutional racism.

The Concept Of Inculturation In Roman Catholicism: A Theological Consideration, Dennis M. Doyle
The Concept Of Inculturation In Roman Catholicism: A Theological Consideration, Dennis M. Doyle
Theology and Religious Studies Faculty Publications
Inculturation is the term that Catholic leaders and theologians have used in recent decades to denote a process of engagement between the Christian Gospel and a particular culture. The term is intended conceptually both to safeguard the integrity of the Gospel and to encourage sensitivity to various cultural contexts. The Decline Of Black Catholicism: What’S Racial Slavery To Do With It?, Kwame Assenyoh S.V.D.
The Decline Of Black Catholicism: What’S Racial Slavery To Do With It?, Kwame Assenyoh S.V.D.
Journal of the Black Catholic Theological Symposium
This essay links the current decline of black Catholicism to the racial slavery practiced in Roman Catholicism at its settlement in the USA. Employing missiological anthropological analysis, Assenyoh, S.V.D., argues that the racism that characterized the beginning of New World slavery remains in the Church and accounts for the decline of black Catholicism. Assenyoh calls for persistent critiques of racial slavery in the Church’s history if there must be transformation rather than reformation.

A Short History Of Marianist Spirituality, Lawrence J. Cada
A Short History Of Marianist Spirituality, Lawrence J. Cada
NACMS Publications
A Short History of Marianist Spirituality is exactly that—short. Yet within its 139 pages, Cada captures the essence of the origins and development of Marianist spirituality. Ever attentive to language, Cada examines the evolution of many phrases and concepts dear to Marianists and carves a solid analysis for why Marianist spirituality is fundamentally “lay,” “adaptive,” and “Modern.”
