Indonesian Journal of Medical Chemistry and Bioinformatics

Diarrheal diseases caused by Salmonella sp. and Shigella sp. are among the most significant public health challenges worldwide, especially among children. To identify these bacteria, Salmonella-Shigella (SS) and Xylose Lysine Deoxycholate (XLD) agar media are used, which are selective and differential for Salmonella sp. and Shigella sp. Although these media share similar properties and functions for growing Salmonella sp. and Shigella sp., results from previous studies differ from those obtained in tests conducted by the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia. This laboratory-based experimental study used serial dilution with three replicates (triplicate). Based on SNI 2897 of …

To address this gap, a mixed-methods approach was employed, combining survey data from 420 students with in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypothesis that public trust influences future taxpayer compliance. The results demonstrate that public trust …

Primary data were collected using surveys administered to 207 public service providers and 248 citizen recipients across six Indonesian public service agencies operated in two regional governments. Statistical analysis was then conducted to examine bureaucrats’ self-enhancing bias and their pessimistic view of citizen ratings, as well as to clarify citizens’ tendency to underrate the performance of bureaucrats in public service organizations. Our findings confirm pervasive internal pessimism amongst …

Global: Jurnal Politik Internasional

Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 seeks to diversify its oil-dependent economy, but scepticism persists due to past reform failures, particularly in fiscal policy and labour markets. Ulama, as key figures in the Saudi "social contract," play a vital role in legitimising government policies, especially on social and religious matters. However, reforms promoting private sector growth and social liberalisation have raised concerns among conservative ulama over potential threats to Islamic values. To address this, the government under Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) employs a strategy of separating economic and religious narratives while using a "carrot and stick" approach to manage ulama opposition. This …

Within the framework of ASEAN regionalism, …

This study examines the effects of floor area ratio (FAR) and building coverage ratio (BCR) on property prices in Jakarta. Using a hdonic price mdel with data from property listings and a geographical information system (GIS) analysis, it explores how these regulations influence values across regions and property types, accounting for access to amenities and infrastructure. Neutralization Mechanisms In Protest-Related Vandalism: Implications For Psycholinguistic Crisis Communication, M. Agung Lyndardi

Jurnal Kriminologi Indonesia

Protest-related vandalism has become a recurring phenomenon in Indonesia’s democratic landscape, particularly during large-scale demonstrations involving students, labor groups, and civil society coalitions. Conventional legal approaches that define vandalism as a public-order violation are insufficient to explain why such actions persist, why they concentrate on symbolic state targets, and why participants frequently deny moral wrongdoing. This article analyzes protest-related vandalism in Indonesia through the framework of neutralization theory (Sykes & Matza, 1957), integrating perspectives from criminology, moral disengagement theory, collective action, political legitimacy, and public psycholinguistics. Using a structured literature review of international and Indonesian scholarship published between 1957 and …

Folk Devil Construction In The Symbolic Space Of The City (A Study Of Klitih In The City Of Yogyakarta), Iqrak Sulhin, Chisa Belinda Harahap

Jurnal Kriminologi Indonesia

Yogyakarta is widely recognized as a city of culture and education, a symbolic identity institutionalized through historical narratives, political discourse, and cultural policy. The emergence of klitih—a term originally denoting aimless wandering but now associated with youth-perpetrated street violence—has challenged this image and generated intense public concern. While existing studies primarily explain klitih through causal factors such as peer influence, family supervision, and socio-economic conditions, this article shifts attention to the discursive construction of the phenomenon. Drawing on a constructionist approach and informed by cultural criminology and moral panic theory, the study analyses semi-structured interviews with government officials, law …
