Background: The aim of this study was to analyse differences in bone density and vitamin D and calcium concentrations between pregnant and non-pregnant women. Methods: This was an analytical, cross-sectional study of women aged 30 years or over, residing in the Puskesmas Bangkalan district. The sample population was chosen at random and included 10 pregnant women in their third trimester and 10 non-pregnant women. This observational study consisted of an interview, a blood test, and a 24-hour recall. The concentration of serum vitamin D (25(OH)D) was measured by Gas Chromatography and a Photometric Test measured the concentration of serum calcium. …

This essay discusses vigilante groups in relation to access for rights to security, particularly in Central Lombok District, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Vigilante groups are defined as 'informal security groups' to distinguish them from formal security entities owned by the state such as the police and military. I propose an alternative interpretation toward the existence of informal security groups that is different from mainstream explanation. Most of the literatures have a strong tendency to categorize informal security groups merely as antagonist actors and a predatory element in the process of democratization in Indonesia. Javanese and Chinese Indonesians (Tionghoa) ethnicity both emphasize the importance of social harmony in their relations. Does it exist in intermarriage of these two ethnics? The present study describes the existence of interdependence and its dynamics in the marital relation between Chinese Indonesian women and Javanese men by applying qualitative method with phenomenology approach on 24 married couples in Solo and Yogyakarta. The result shows that interdependence manifestation in interethnic marriage includes identity establishment, the use of power, and the utilization of resources. Although employee silence is already well-known to cause harms to both employees and organizations, less is known about the individual and situational factors that can influence it. This study reveals the relationships among acquiescent silence, defensive silence, psychological contract breaches, job-based psychological ownership, voice efficacy, psychological safety and task cohesion. Employing scales with good reliability scores (α between 0.8 to 0.95), we conducted a survey on a sample of of 260 public employees of an Indonesia’s government institution. Kejadian ISPA pada anak berumur 12 – 59 bulan di Puskesmas Kecamatan Tebet, Jakarta selatan mencapai angka 42,95% dan Puskesmas Kelurahan Tebet Barat merupakan Kelurahan yang memiliki prevalensi penderita ISPA yang berumur 12 – 59 bulan terbanyak dengan proporsi tertinggi dari lima puskesmas kelurahan yang lain yaitu sebesar 23,20%. Namun, prevalensi KB di Indonesia selama satu dekade terakhir (2002-2012) tidak meningkat secara signifikan, walaupun pelbagai kegiatan KIE KB telah dilaksanakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas program pendidikan perawatan kaki dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, efikasi diri, dan perilaku perawatan kaki pasien diabetes di wilayah Banjarbaru. Dari hasil salah satu studi diketahui bahwa penggunaan obat nyamuk memiliki efek lebih besar dalam menanggulangi penyakit Demam Berdarah dibandingkan penggunaan larvasida dan fogging. Tujuan studi ini untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang penggunaan obat nyamuk di masyarakat. Studi ini merupakan studi deskriptif yang pengumpulan datanya dilaksanakan pada Februari-Maret 2013 di DKI Jakata dan kota Depok. This paper discusses strategies of appropriation of narrative heritage in literate and narrative histories on the island of Kisar. It shows that notwithstanding their sometimes literate characteristics, storytelling in competitive contexts still follows strategies that are typical for oral performances. In this article I first discuss how texts of Dairi stories collected in the nineteenth century by Herman Neubronner van der Tuuk relate to storytelling, and question whether the development of written versions of stories necessarily endangers the practice of storytelling. Then I investigate how written versions of Dairi stories in Van der Tuuk's Batak Reader relate to each other and to the printed text, based on texts in manuscripts collected by Van der Tuuk. This thesis reveals the development of micro, small and medium local food entreprise. Furthermore, this descriptive research uses a qualitative approach. The result of this research show that ODNR action has encouraged the appearance of UMKM in a culinary sector and it also provided local food – non rice and non wheat. The roles of UMKM in a ODNR action is producing, supplying, distributing, marketing local food, conducting inovation, socializing ODNR action, creating new UMKM and job vacancies. Domestic violence is a delicate matter in our society. Many efforts have been made by many institutions to decrease the violence that continues to increase every year. One of them is a prevention effort through a Men Care program that presents the male-engagement. Therefore, this study specifically describes the Men Care program implemented by Yayasan PULIH in Jakarta. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach. The results is to describe the forms of male-engagement including advantages and disadvantages faced by Yayasan PULIH in disseminating those issue, as well as strategies undertaken to attract the public participation into the program.

Studi ini membahas strategi komunikasi antar budaya yang diterapkan sepuluh tokoh Tionghoa Indonesia dalam kultur yang diskriminatif. Sepuluh tokoh tersebut adalah AW, DNT, LAD, MA, MB, SMB, TJH, YJ, YB, dan SAP. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Co-Cultural Mark Orbe dengan strategi Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan penerapan yang dominan pada orientasi akomodasi, yaitu upaya para informan menjalin interaksi yang harmonis dengan kelompok dominan namun pada saat bersamaan tidak ingin menghilangkan identitasnya sebagai Tionghoa Indonesia. Juga terungkap bahwa tipologi nonassertive assimilation diterapkan para informan sebagai upaya menyesuaikan diri ketika berinteraksi dengan kelompok dominan. Kohesi sangat terkait dengan konsep density dalam jaringan sosial. Mekanisme kohesi lazimnya terjadi pada jaringan yang padat/dense di mana para anggotanya memiliki kontak yang sering dan berulang/redundan. Kontak seperti ini menyebabkan perilaku dapat mudah menyebar secara contagious dan diimitasi oleh anggota jaringan secara kohesif. Objek penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah menengah di sebuah asrama, yang terhubung dalam jaringan bullying. Para siswa ini memiliki kontak yang sering dan berulang, namun jaringan bullying mereka bukan merupakan jaringan yang padat melainkan renggang.
