Climate change and the need to reduce energy consumption make energy efficiency an important solution to achieve sustainability. Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) play a central role in the implementation of energy efficiency technologies through various services such as consulting, project development, and verification of energy savings. However, one of the main challenges in this implementation is the need for significant initial investment, which is often an obstacle for project owners, especially in developing countries where high financial risk is a major obstacle. Islamic financing, based on the principles of Islamic law, offers an attractive alternative to overcome such challenges. The …

Lending by banks is generally covered by insurance as mitigation in the event of the borrower's death. At an ideal level, if the borrower dies, the bank will make an insurance claim to the insurance company, …

The three principles are 1) one nation, 2) one soul and one spirit, and 3) one land and nature. All the elements are composed naturally in these three principles. As argued in this paper, …

For the past two decades, disputes between the Philippines and China over the South China Sea (SCS) have experienced continuous escalation. Benigno Aquino III filed an arbitration case against China. This legal success was later overturned by Rodrigo Duterte in exchange for closer relations with China. However, his decision did not cease hostility in the SCS. Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. then brought the Philippines back on legal track and steered the country closer to the United States, which further heightened tensions. Built on this background, this article intends to explain the unceasing escalation in the SCS using Positioning Theory (PT). This …
