Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry
In this research the fertilization biologies of mid and late flowering 4 almond types (101-9, 101-13, 101-23 and 106-1) selected from different parts of Turkey and Texas cultivar were studied. For this purpose, first of all, pollen viability tests with TTC and FDA and pollen germination tests in 0 %, 5 %, 10 %, 15 % and 20 % sucrose mediums by hanging drop method were performed. On the other hand, the amount of pollen production and their morphological homogenity levels were determined. In addition, besides self and open pollinations with cross pollinations the pollen tube growth rates were investigated. …

According to the results obtained from two years rotation experiment, which was carried out under Ankara-Haymana dryfarming conditions during 1991-1993, conclusions can be summarized as follows: Soil water contents measured during vegetation period as well as at harvest time of six previous crops were significantly different in the first year of the rotation. At harvest time of previous crops and planting time of wheat, higher soil water content found in fallow plots in comparison to winter sown legumes (lentil, vetch, pea and Hungarian vetch). Oil radish and mustard as other previous crops, led to the lowest soil water content. In …

Magnetic Solid-Phase Extraction Of Trace Cobalt(Ii) On Iron Oxide-Hexagonal Boron Nitride In Water And Food Samples, Mustafa Soylak, Ali Mohammednour Ali Mohammed, Furkan Uzcan
Turkish Journal of Chemistry
Determination of trace cobalt(II) (Co(II)) in real samples remains challenging because of its very low concentration and strong matrix interferences. In this study, a simple and green magnetic solid-phase extraction (mSPE) method was developed for the selective separation and preconcentration of Co(II) ions using a newly designed iron oxide/hexagonal boron nitride (IOhBN) nanocomposite. The material was synthesized through a one-step, surfactant-free coprecipitation process, combining the high surface area, stability, and layered structure of hBN with the magnetic and reactive features of Fe₃O₄ nanoparticles. This hybrid structure provided abundant active sites and rapid magnetic separability, enabling efficient extraction within 5 min …
