The paper examined academic librarians' perceptions of the characteristics that contribute to a favorable organizational climate and those that negatively affect it in Nigerian university libraries. The study concentrated on Nigeria's Southeast and South-South geopolitical zones. The researchers adopted a descriptive survey design for the research. This article draws on qualitative data from a long-term partnership to exemplify the unique advantages of interdisciplinary and collaborative approaches in community-engaged research. We demonstrate how the differing foci and intersecting concerns of our scholarly fields, social work and media studies, benefited our work with marginalized communities to promote youth voice through digital storytelling. This effort was grounded in the shared view that digital storytelling offers an excellent opportunity to engage creatively with young people’s memories and experiences and that such storytelling can support young people in their healing, identity formation, agency development, and engagement with the public. The study aimed to evaluate the bibliometric research of Library and Information Science (LIS) research contributed by the authors affiliated with the University of Karachi (UoK), Pakistan. The dataset was limited to 22 years from January 2000 to December 2021 and a list of evaluated papers has been proved from various online and print sources. Google Scholar has been employed to access the record of citation(s). Ninety-two papers were identified with at least one author affiliated with the UoK on the subject category of LIS and these papers were cited 707 times. Elitism, Escapism And Existentialism: An Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis Of The Reading Habits Of Indian Young Adults, Nimisha Ajaikumar, Vipin Roldant

Reading is the core of knowledge and educational success, but it demonstrates a decline among the current young adult population. The present study uses a qualitative approach in the form of semi-structured interviews to study the reading habits of 10 Indian young adults aged 19-24. Interpretative phenomenological analysis revealed three superordinate themes: attitudes towards reading, perceived benefits of reading, and impediments to reading. Findings are consistent with previous literature and can be applied in academic and professional settings and social structures to improve the reading habits of Indian young adults. Background: Differences in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) use by sexual identity vary across samples of women recruited using different sampling methods. We used propensity score (PS) weighting methods to address two methodological questions: (1) Do disparities between sexual minority women (SMW) and heterosexual women persist when differences in risk and protective factors are similarly distributed between groups, and (2) Does accounting for SMW-specific resiliency factors impact differences between non-probability samples of SMW? Abstract

This study investigated use of information and communication technologies and perceived job performance of university libraries’ personnel in Oyo State, Nigeria. The descriptive research design of the survey type was adopted for this study. The university libraries’ personnel in Oyo State, Nigeria formed the population of the study using purposive sampling technique. A total of 219 questionnaires were distributed across the universities with a retrieval success of 187 copies, representing 85.4% return rate. Land Surface Temperature plays a critical role in the land surface-Atmosphere exchange processes. In this study, the impacts of land cover changes on land Surface Temperature in bay area, California was analyzed. The key findings of the land cover change impacts study are presented. National Land Cover Database (NLCD) data and Landsat Land Surface Temperature data were used for this study. The time period of analysis is 2001 through 2020. The results of the study indicated that with the increase in built land cover, the land surface temperature in bay area, California exhibited a significant increase.

In several existing studies of Information Encountering (IE), a recurring sub-phenomenon of serendipity arises that indicates the potential for certain unexpected encounters with information to be transformative. The author labels this sub-phenomenon Transformative Information Encountering (TIE), deriving its definition from an application of Transformative Education (TE) theory to existing understandings of IE. Marine protected areas (MPAs), particularly large MPAs, are increasing in number and size around the globe in part to facilitate the conservation of marine megafauna under the assumption that large-scale MPAs better align with vagile life histories; however, this alignment is not well established. Using a global tracking dataset from 36 species across five taxa, chosen to reflect the span of home range size in highly mobile marine megafauna, we show most MPAs are too small to encompass complete home ranges of most species. This study investigated information seeking-behaviour of 109 widows in south-western Nigeria, with a questionnaire, using mainly snowball and purposive sampling techniques. Findings reveal that respondents were economically and educationally weak and their information needs hinge mainly on finance, children’s education and training, counselling, family and personal health. They use sources including radio, children, mobile phone, church members and television when seeking for information. Information security compliance implies that library personnel follow the rules, guidelines, and principles regarding information security and implement the security measures provided in the library to curb insecurity. The paper highlights the importance and effectiveness of digital literacy skills among the students of the University of Jammu. In today’s technological age the students must develop digital literacy skills. This study used a purposive online survey of the students at the University of Jammu. Google form was used to design the questionnaire. The results of the study show that majority of respondents at the University of Jammu were female and were between 23 and 26 years of age group.
