Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)
Intertextuality is the meaning of the text that is formed by other texts. It means the formation of a new text based on contemporary or previous texts, so that the new text is a compact of a number of texts, the border between which is blurred, and its structure is renewed in a new way, so that nothing is left of the previous texts except its substance, and its essence is in the new text is hidden and only experts can recognize it. No text can be understood on its own without relying on other texts, because it is impossible …

Staying In Or Stepping Out? Growth Strategies Of Second-Generation Immigrant Entrepreneurs, Sarika Pruthi, Misagh Tasavori
Faculty Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activity
Second generation immigrant entrepreneurs (SGIEs) in developed economies have contributed to the emergence of new areas of business activity, especially in information technology, business services, and creative industries. An understanding of their growth strategies can shed light on the role of individual immigrants in the founding of potentially global firms competing with large multinational enterprises. Based on eleven case studies of SGIEs of Indian origin in the UK, our findings reveal that SGIEs are heterogeneous in their growth strategies contingent on their a) founding or succession context, and b) use of social ties. Founder SGIEs combining non-co-ethnic ties with non-family …

Introduction. Music providers like Spotify leverage music recommendation systems to connect users with relevant music. Based on content-based and collaborative-filtering statistical methods, these machine learning algorithms quantify user-song probabilities and present the highest-ranked songs. However, most music providers do not fully address their users’ music seeking and retrieval needs. Likewise, the fields of Recommender Systems, Music Recommendation Systems (MRS) and Music Information Retrieval (MIR) remain disconnected from real-world use cases of music seeking. Method. In this conceptual paper, we review the literature of the Recommender Systems, MRS, MIR and Music Therapy (MT) academic fields. We discuss trends towards greater user …
