Parallelized Rigid Body Dynamics, John Calvin Linford
Parallelized Rigid Body Dynamics, John Calvin Linford
Master's Projects
Physics engines are collections of API-like software designed for video games, movies and scientific simulations. While physics engines often come in many shapes and designs, all engines can benefit from an increase in speed via parallelization. However, despite this need for increased speed, it is uncommon to encounter a parallelized physics engine today. Many engines are long-standing projects and changing them to support parallelization is too costly to consider as a practical matter. Parallelization needs to be considered from the design stages through completion to ensure adequate implementation. In this project we develop a realistic approach to simulate physics in …

The Legacy Of Antonio Sant'elia: An Analysis Of Sant'elia's Posthumous Role In The Development Of Italian Futurism During The Fascist Era, Ashley Gardini
The Legacy Of Antonio Sant'elia: An Analysis Of Sant'elia's Posthumous Role In The Development Of Italian Futurism During The Fascist Era, Ashley Gardini
Master's Theses
This thesis is an examination of the posthumous legacy of Antonio Sant'Elia propagated by F.T. Marinetti during the 1920s and `30s in Fascist Italy. It is during the period of Second Futurism that the Manifesto of Futurist Architecture and the images from the La Città Nuova series came to define Sant'Elia's identity as the figurehead of Futurist architecture. This research contributes to the scholarly discussion of Second Futurism by giving context to specific actions taken by Marinetti during the Fascist era to control how Sant'Elia would be remembered.
This thesis analyzes the Fascist government's control over Italian society, religion, and …

Radio:Reaching Young Adult Audiences, What Are The Challenges And Opportunities For Radio Programmers In Cultivating Young Adult Audiences In The Current Media Environment?, Joel David Abramson
Master's Theses
As young adults have adopted the use of digital new media technologies, previous scholarly research has predicted a lack of interest by young adults in traditional media, including radio. This waining interest in traditional media by young adults has also been reported in the popular press. An abandonment of radio by young adults could bring about an eventual decline in audience, resulting in adverse economic effects to the broadcast radio industry and related industries, including a decrease in radio revenues, the deflation in the value of radio properties, and potential job loss. This research examined the challenges radio programmers and …
