DNA in the nucleus of all eukaryotes is transcribed into mRNA where it is then translated into proteins. The DNA which is transcribed into mRNA is composed of coding and non-coding regions called exons and introns, respectively. It undergoes a post-trancriptional process called splicing where the introns or the non-coding regions are removed from the pre-mRNA to give the mature mRNA. Splicing of pre-mRNAs at 5 ́ and 3ˊ ends is a crucial step in the gene expression pathway. The paper examines 140375 global publications on world mobile research, as covered in Scopus database during 2007-16. The field of world mobile research witnessed an annual average growth rate of 1.68%. The top 20 most productive countries individually contributed global share from 1.14% to 20.52%, with largest global publication share coming from China (20.52%), followed by USA (17.09%), etc. Together, the top 20 most productive countries accounted for 95.05% of global publication output during 2007-16. Proteins are building blocks of the bodies of eukaryotes, and the process of synthesizing proteins from DNA is crucial for the good health of an organism [13]. However, some mutations in the DNA may disrupt the selection of 5’ or 3’ splice sites by a spliceosome. An important research question is whether the disruptions have a stochastic relation to the position of nucleotides in the vicinity of the known authentic and cryptic splice sites. The study presents the growth trend about authorship pattern and author collaboration in the Biotechnology for sixteen years with the sample of 18918 articles which have been collected from Scopus database during year 2001-2016. A predefined search string has been used for data download. This article explores the origins of metaphorical language to describe energy by reviewing the historical development of the concept by physicists since the early 19th century. In addition to examples of historical and contemporary use of metaphors in academic writing, observable manifestations of energy are identified as the origin of energy “forms.” The historical- philosophical review and presentation of examples from contemporary physics literature contribute a disciplinary foundation to recent claims about the productiveness of physics learners’ use of metaphors and indicators to describe energy.

The initial crime scene investigation is critical since it is the primary step in the investigative process; therefore, individuals assigned to process a scene should be highly educated. Improperly educated (or uneducated) crime scene investigators (CSIs) can mishandle evidence during an investigation, affecting the outcome of cases. The minimum education requirement for CSIs should transition from a high school diploma—the current requirement—toward a bachelor’s degree. Tape-lifting and swabbing are two methods commonly used for collecting biological samples in the United Kingdom and United States to investigate vehicle crimes. Determining the optimal collection method may lead to an increase in generating DNA profiles and crime-solving. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of adhesive tape and the double-swab collection methods for investigating vehicle crimes with possible touch DNA samples. Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the use of tape-lifts and swabs on spiked common vehicle fabric materials. Video recordings of police-citizen interactions, most notably those obtained from the dashboard cameras (dashcams) of police cars, have been successful in objectively capturing police-citizen exchanges. However, since police-civilian interactions do not solely occur in front of police cars, dashcams present significant limitations. Off-camera violent, and sometimes fatal, encounters (such as the notorious Ferguson case) have fueled increased public support for body-worn cameras. This is especially true in cases with conflicting accounts from the officer(s), victim(s), and witness(es). One complex fault found in forensics was conformation bias. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has programs designed to protect the navigable waters of the United States from urban runoff pollution. One source of polluted runoff regulated by EPA is from construction sites. In support of this effort, the California Regional Water Quality Control Board issued a regional National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit called the Municipal Regional Permit (MRP). The goal of the MRP is to provide consistent regulation of stormwater contaminants across multiple jurisdictions (CRWQCB, 2015).

This research examines angry and happy (versus neutral) emotions and how they affect ethnic stereotyping. Research has found that both anger and happiness increase a person’s reliance on stereotype information versus neutral emotion when making social judgments. Research has also found that ethnic stereotypes are not exclusively negative, as some stereotypes make positive generalizations of certain groups. However, research on ethnic stereotypes has exclusively been presented in a negative and not a positive context. Furthermore, past studies have only focused on negatively stereotyped racial groups (e.g., Hispanics) and not positively stereotyped racial groups (e.g., Asians). Globally, ultramafic outcrops are renowned for hosting floras with high levels of endemism, including plants with specialised adaptations such as nickel or manganese hyperaccumulation. Soils derived from ultramafic regoliths are generally nutrient-deficient, have major cation imbalances, and have concomitant high concentrations of potentially phytotoxic trace elements, especially nickel. The South and Southeast Asian region has the largest surface occurrences of ultramafic regoliths in the world, but the geoecology of these outcrops is still poorly studied despite severe conservation threats. Background: Pediatric bipolar disorder is a significant mental illness, characterized by changes in mood that can be abrupt, unpredictable, and extreme. The rate of diagnosis of this disorder has been increasing in recent decades. Purpose: A thorough review of existing literature was completed to inform practice. Additionally, a survey of clinician assessment practices was completed. Combining the information learned from the literature review, and the data from the clinician survey, a clinical tool has been created. Stress in new graduate nurses has been a known issue in nursing for decades. The number of new graduate nurse turnover rates has reached up to 50% within the first three years of practice, according to some studies. Most new graduate nurses who choose to leave their job, or even the profession, cite stress as a major factor.

Methods: Single point correlation survey of new graduate BSN students in Southern California (n=32).
