This paper presents a scientometric analysis of growth and productivity of agricultural and biological sciences research in state agriculture universities of Gujarat, India. The publications, which have been published during 2010-2019, are considered for the present research. The required data was extracted from the indexing database SCOPUS for the analysis, which includes 1,742 publications. Necessary metric-based indicators are considered to draw the conclusion about the growth and status of research outputs of selected samples. An attempt is made to examine the authorship distribution in Synthetic Biology (SB) literature and to validate Lotka's law of author productivity. Authors obtained data for this study from the WOS database. A total of 12012 papers with 33151 unique authors has identified , and used for further analysis. Authors calculated the exponents "n" and "c". Researchers employed Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) test of goodness-of-fit to verify the validity of Lotka's Law in SB literature. Using the Science Citation Index-Expanded of the Web of Science Core Collection, we analyzed global saffron research literature published between 1991 and 2017. The variables examined were research performance of nations, institutions, and authors. The study noted that the distribution of author keywords, citations, and publication patterns of saffron related articles to ascertain the research inclinations. The highly cited articles and author keyword analysis showed that the chemical and biochemical qualities of saffron were of key interest for the researchers.

Information on weather forecast is necessary to guide fishermen on their fishing adventure. The purpose of this study was assessed the weather information needs of displaced fishermen in Bakassi Pennisula, Nigeria. This study was conducted in Bakassi which is a peninsula on the Gulf of Guinea that lies between latitudes 4°25′ and 5°10′N and longitudes 8°20′ and 9°08′E. The present study examined 4698 Indian Coronary Artery Disease research publications, as indexed in Web of Science database during 1990-2019, with a view to understand their growth rate, global share, citation impact, international collaborative papers, distribution of publications by broad subjects, productivity and citation profile of top organizations and authors, and preferred media of communication. The Indian publications registered an annual average growth rate of 11.47%, global share of 1.14%, international collaborative publications share of 38.89% and its citation impact averaged to 25.58 citations per paper. This work reports the use of dielectric spectroscopy to study blood and blood clots. A test setup was developed and electrode behavior was characterized with water and salt solutions. By measuring changes in electrical permittivity, trends differentiating clotting and non-clotting blood were identified. Non-clotting blood exhibited an increase in normalized permittivity at high frequencies that is credited to the sedimentation of red blood cells (RBCs) in static blood samples. Clotting blood was found to show a decrease in permittivity after some time at high frequencies. This is associated with the aggregation of red blood cells. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) and …

It has been shown that a peptide of the first 10-15 N-terminal amino acids of the lethal toxin neutralizing factor (LTNF) protein found in opossums (Didelphis spp.) holds promise as a low-cost therapy for snake envenomation. To date, the 11-mer has been expressed in E. coli and shown to neutralize snake venoms. However, possible endotoxin concerns warrant an investigation into other microbial hosts. Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) is a disease that causes profound fatigue in its sufferers as well as loss of concentration, headaches, and sleep abnormalities. Unfortunately, the disease is poorly diagnosed, and etiology is not known. Although the ME/CFS patients do not show anemic readings, and their arterial partial pressure is normal, it is possible that their extreme post-exertional malaise stems from poor microvascular perfusion and oxygenation. The analysis was carried out on the data extracted in the form of 1908 records extracted from Web of Science during 2001-2019. However for testing of Lotka’s law all the records i.e. 4212 available 1989 were used. An annual growth is highlighted in the study period. The article draws attention to annual growth of publication output, co-authorship network, distribution of publication output on the basis of various subject categories, leading collaborative institutes and countries. The proposed study tries to investigate citation pattern of Chemistry theses submitted to Central library Tripura University. The study considered only those theses submitted to Shodhganga, the Indian ETD initiative. Hence data were collected from 20 theses constituting 6214 citations during 2007 to 2016. Bardford’s law is used to find out the core journals in the field of Chemistry. The rank list of journals showed “Phytochemistry” is the most cited journal.
