Due to the advent of allopathy and concomitant usage of the medicinal drugs with herbal medicines, many herb drug interactions are increasingly reported in the scientific literature. A growing body of research suggests that incorporating classroom-based mindfulness interventions in elementary schools is associated with improvements in student behavior, self-regulation, and measures of mental health. However, the adoption of teacher-led mindfulness programs in California’s public schools has not been widely embraced. This doctoral project explored the impact of an educational intervention on pre-service teachers’ perceptions, attitudes, and intentions to implement mindfulness interventions in their classrooms. A brief educational intervention and website resource were provided to multidisciplinary teaching credential students in a 2-year graduate credential program. The study was conducted to assess information availability on indigenous practices in order to combat lactation challenge among nursing mothers who are farmers in South West Nigeria. It assessed the perceived effectiveness of the identified indigenous practices to combat lactation challenge. This paper analyses the 239 publications with more than 1000 citations indexed in SCI-Expanded of Web of Science under research area plant sciences. These publications have been written by 600 authors and from 224 institutes and universities across the world. There are 52 periodicals with impact factor ranging from 0.687-18.918 which published these articles. The most number of highly cited articles were published in Annual Review of Plant Physiology And Plant Molecular Biology (34). Authorship pattern indicates that 25 % of highly cited publications (61) have been written by single author. Two author publications is most prevalent with 90 publications. …

This paper mainly analyzes the Price square root law, Pareto principle, Publication Efficiency Index, Modified Collaborative coefficient, and Application of Lotka’s law in the Geese literature of India based on 94 publications indexed in Scopus database from 2008 to 2017. Value of Publication Efficiency Indices and Average citations per paper shows that the impact of Publication and Research effort in India is higher from the years 2009 to 2013. South Africa has not only been identified with high records of gender-based violence (GBV), but that, it takes a complex toll on young people than does transport accidents. Therefore, two methods: Pao’s Least Squared (LS) and Sen’s methods were used to determine the validity of GBV research output vis-a-vis Lotka’s law of scientific productivity over a ten-year window 2009-2018. Data on GBV scientific publications in South Africa was harvested from the EBSCO Discovery Service Database. This study was undertaken to describe the role played by Indigenous Knowledge (IK) (Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) and Traditional Knowledge (TK)) of the local community farmers in Lindi and Mtwara regions and determine their overall perceptions on usefulness of IK in the pursuit of their farming activities. Purpose: Salt intake is associated with cardiovascular diseases that are the leading cause of death especially among African American communities in the Midwest. Interventions need to be developed to address the culture of this population to decrease the health disparities of cardiovascular disease. This study applying the Health Belief Model aims to explore the factors that are associated with the behavior of reducing salt intake among this population.

Many clinicians continue to diagnose hypertension based on office-based readings, despite the 2015 United States Preventive Services Task Force recommendation for the use of home or ambulatory blood pressure monitoring to confirm the diagnosis of hypertension prior to initiating treatment. Without obtaining blood pressure readings outside of the clinic environment, it is impossible to correctly diagnose hypertension, particularly regarding masked hypertension and white coat hypertension.

This project focused on two LEAs that received EHCY funding in California, and aimed to answer the following research question: How does receiving EHCY funding affect the services directed at fulfilling the goal of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act of ensuring free public education for children and youth experiencing homelessness in two California counties?
