The purpose of this study was to assess the information literacy of medical students at the University of Ghana. The convenience sampling technique was used to choose 206 respondents for the study, which yielded a response rate of 93.7 per cent. The study found that the majority of respondents needed information to acquire new knowledge in a subject area and to write assignments or project work. Moreover, most respondents rely on books, electronic books, and journals as their primary sources of knowledge. The present study examined the roles school libraries play in meeting the educational information needs of secondary school students in Nigeria. The research design was a descriptive survey. To realize the four specific purposes of the study, 200 secondary school students were sampled from four secondary schools in Nsukka local government area of Enugu State, Nigeria. This bibliometric study set out to evaluate and analyze highly cited papers in Library and Information Science field (LIS) in the Web of Science database from 1983 to 2018. In this bibliometric study, the required data were extracted from the Web of Science database. First, all documents under the rubric of LIS subject area, including 366,756 documents, were retrieved. Total 727 documents retrieved including 481 articles, 7 early access articles, 3 proceedings papers, 25 bibliography and related items, 10 book reviews, 8 article corrections, 130 editorial materials, and 63 reviews. The outcome parameters were the number of publications, citations, top countries, authors, organizations/institutions, and citation analysis, impact factor, most frequent author keywords were presented as visualization map, etc.

This study was designed to investigate the extent of student-counsellors' satisfaction with library services offered at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The study is a descriptive survey comprising all the full-time undergraduate student-counsellors at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, from the first year to final year. A structured questionnaire was used for obtaining data. The findings showed that there was a high extent of student-counsellors’ satisfaction with the registration, lending, shelving, renewal/replacement and reserve services offered by the university library. There is a need to take regular feedback from the students regarding the various services provided by the library.

The study provides a bibliometric review of 920 research studies on Information Seeking Behaviour (ISB) in the discipline of Library and Information Science of last thirty years i.e., 1991-2020, published in 68 academic journals, authored by 1614 authors. We extracted the bibliographical data from the Web of Science database and analyzed using HistCite for citation counts and VOSviewer for bibliographic coupling and cartography analysis of network visualization. The objective of this study was to explore the strategies adopted by Library and Information Science (LIS) Postgraduate M. Phil. and Ph.D. Students to cope with challenges in dissertation-writing. Firstly, an in-depth analysis of the relevant literature was done. A quantitative approach followed by a survey research design was followed to meet the set objective of the study. The population of the study was 98 research scholars of which 72 were enrolled in M.Phil. Program and 26 in Ph.D. Program. This systematic review examined the evidence of psychometric properties of scales available in studies reporting surveys measuring information related anxieties such as library anxiety, information seeking anxiety, and information anxiety.
