This deed, dated December 19, 1873, documents the sale of land in Tupelo, Mississippi from John A. McNeil to John F. Tankersly for sixteen hundred dollars. The deed describes the land sold and a statement by J. N. Sloan, Chancery Court Clerk in Pontotoc, Mississippi, certifies the sale. A document from the Lee County Chancery Court Clerk, S. W. Hankins, dated February 25, 1874, notes the recording of the deed within Deed Record book number 9, page 530.

This stock certificate, numbered at 145 and dated December 1, 1873, for Jefferson County Planters, Mechanics, and Manufacturers Association certifies that Thomas L. Darden has paid seventy-five dollars for three shares which constitutes him a stock holder of the Association which is located in Fayette, Mississippi. The stock certificate is signed by R. W. Arnette, the association's president and G. Genlminor, the association's secretary. The certificate bears the image in the upper center of a woman milking a cow while a man and a child stand near the fence and several cattle surround them.

Stanmore Bates. Both Bills of Cost were certified by W. A. Hudin, Justice of the Peace. A receipt dated December 12, 1873 stating payment in full by plaintiff is included and signed by W. A. Hudin.
