This handwritten lease agreement states that an unnamed person has leased 160 acres of land in Attala County, Mississippi from R. J. Herald for a period of three years and agrees to pay Herald five bales of good lint cotton by November fifteenth of each year of the lease. An option to extend the lease five more years is included in the agreement at the same price. The lease is not signed but does include a diagram of the land in question.
