Savannah Biographies
Henry Kollock Burroughs was born into a prominent Savannah family at the beginning of the nineteenth century. He married, had a large family, and led an active and distinguished life in his home town as a physician. In 1845 he was elected mayor, an office to which he was re-elected two more times falling victim to consumption, he died still a relatively young man and in the prime of his life, at age forty-two.

Savannah Biographies
Georgia Burrel Lathrop Boulineau was born in Georgia on April 12, 1831. His parents were Augustus Boulineau, native of Havre, France and Mary Ann Kemp, a native of Savannah, Georgia. He was baptized at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist when he was four years old. He was an employee of the Central Railroand during the 1860’s and 1870’s in Savannah, GA. Burrel L Boulineau married twice and had a total of eleven children. He left Savannah around 1879 and probably moved to Liberty County, GA. He died September 24, 1903 and is buried in Flemington Cemetery in Liberty …

Morgan Rawls was born in Bulloch County, Georgia in 1829, He later moved to Effingham County where he married Selina Elkins in. 1851, Mr. Rawls was Lieutenant Colonel of the 54th Georgia Infantry during the Civil War until he was wounded at the Battle of Atlanta on July 22, 1864. After the war, he represented Effingham County in the Georgia legislature from l868-1872, 1886-1889, and from 1896-1904. Morgan Rawls died October 18, 1906. he is buried in Guyton Cemetery.

David Dean O'Keefe was born in Middletown, Ireland, where little is known of his younger years. He came to the United States in the 1860. A seaman by trade, he sailed between Liverpool and Savannah on the ship William Gregory In 1869 David was married to Catherine Masters, a native of St. Augustine, Florida, whose family was living in Savannah. After his marriage, O'Keefe began working on small vessels around the city. In 1871, in fear of killing a man, O'Keefe left Savannah on the Belvedere which was heading for Chicago.
