Detecting Barriers And Drivers To The Adoption Of Circular Business Models In Small Companies From Developed And Developing Countries, Nathalie Touratier-Muller, Nikolina Koporcic, Stefan Markovic, Vesna Damnjanovic
AMTP Proceedings 2024
Circular business models (CBMs) have become crucial elements of the ecological and social transition of developed as well as developing countries. However, there is a lack of research focusing on small firms that are adopting CBMs, while facing various resource constraints. As small firms are becoming more conscious of the advantages of CBMs, there is a practical need to identify barriers and drivers to the adoption of those models, to accelerate their development trajectory. To contribute to these theoretical and practical needs, in this paper, we consider the CBMs of small firms and focus on a comparison between developed and …
Blockchain-Enabled Participatory Design In Marketing: A Collaborative Approach For Enhanced Customer Engagement, Brian Whelan Dr.
Blockchain-Enabled Participatory Design In Marketing: A Collaborative Approach For Enhanced Customer Engagement, Brian Whelan Dr.
AMTP Proceedings 2024
Participatory Design (PD) is an inclusive approach to designing products, services or systems that actively involve the people who use, will use, or be impacted by the design process (Robertson and Simonsen, 2012). PD has been applied in many domains, including architecture, urban planning, product design, healthcare administration, software development, and community engagement, but its application in marketing has been limited. The goal of this paper is to illuminate potential applications for blockchain-enabled PD initiatives in marketing, and to stimulate further thinking about how its use can lead to deeper customer engagement.

Macroscopic And Microscopic Investigation Of Gypsum Slag Cement-Stabilized Recycled Aggregate Base Layers, Changdong Zhou, Pengcheng Shi, Junan Shen
Macroscopic And Microscopic Investigation Of Gypsum Slag Cement-Stabilized Recycled Aggregate Base Layers, Changdong Zhou, Pengcheng Shi, Junan Shen
Civil Engineering & Construction: Faculty Publications
The purpose of this study is to investigate the macro and micro properties of stabilized recycled aggregate base layers using gypsum slag cement (GSC) and compare them with ordinary Portland cement (OPC). To achieve this, four levels of recycled aggregate content (0%, 50%, 60%, 70%) and three levels of binder materials (3.5%, 4.5%, 5.5%) were designed, where the binding materials included OPC and GSC. When GSC is used as the binding material with 0% recycled content, two scenarios for the ratio of slag to activator are considered: 4:1 and 4:2. For recycled content of 50%, 60%, and 70%, only the …

Pornography: Social, Emotional And Mental Implications Among Adolescents, William K. Canady
National Youth Advocacy & Resilience Conference
This presentation will explain the historical development of pornography. It will highlight three segments: 1- Porn’s impact on brain development of reward pathways, ultimately increasing the appetite for more porn. 2- Porn can be a false substitute for real intimacy, resulting in decreased sexual satisfaction with a real person and increased verbal and physical aggression. 3- Porn promotes sex trafficking, promotes multiple sex partners and reduced STD prevention.

Unveiling The Feeling Effect: How Sentiment Orientation Deceives Traditional Survey Findings In Marketing Research, Junhong Min, Matthew Monte, Ulrich Schmelzle
Unveiling The Feeling Effect: How Sentiment Orientation Deceives Traditional Survey Findings In Marketing Research, Junhong Min, Matthew Monte, Ulrich Schmelzle
AMTP Proceedings 2024
This study inspected the influence of sentiment orientation (positive vs negative) on parameter estimation in marketing research models, specifically addressing gaps in previous research focused on online review platforms but not traditional surveys. Examining 627 participants assessing city residents' quality of life, the survey analyzed sentiment using the lexicon-based sentiment analysis. Three contextual factors affecting sentiment orientation—reasoning strength, cognitive strength, and factual information strength—were discovered. The analysis revealed higher adjusted R-squared scores for negative sentiment, suggesting potential errors in survey research when sentiment orientation is ignored. The study advocates combining automatic sentiment analysis with quantitative research findings to enhance survey …
A Study On The Incentives And Barriers For The Adoption Of Electric Vehicles In South Alabama, Marianne Loes, Daniela Wolter Ferreira Touma, Jennifer C. Zoghby
A Study On The Incentives And Barriers For The Adoption Of Electric Vehicles In South Alabama, Marianne Loes, Daniela Wolter Ferreira Touma, Jennifer C. Zoghby
AMTP Proceedings 2024
ABSTRACT
Through a series of public policy incentives and consumer demand, more electric vehicles are being sold nationwide than ever before. Although electric vehicles (EVs) are being adopted nationwide by many consumers in recent years, car-buyers across South Alabama have not followed the trend. This research considers different stakeholders in the complex consumer buying process of car purchases, and it uses the extant technology adoption models to assess the public policy incentives, as well as statewide roadblocks, to EV adoption.
Bridging Theory And Practice: A Mock Digital Ad Agency Approach To Enhance Student Preparedness For Immersive Digital Marketing Education, Christopher A. Wilkey, Austin Hostetter, Russell Wahlers
Bridging Theory And Practice: A Mock Digital Ad Agency Approach To Enhance Student Preparedness For Immersive Digital Marketing Education, Christopher A. Wilkey, Austin Hostetter, Russell Wahlers
AMTP Proceedings 2024
As the business world continues to evolve, the demand for skilled digital marketers is on the rise. In response to this industry need, educational institutions are tasked with developing innovative pedagogical approaches to equip students with the practical skills necessary for success in the digital marketing field. This paper presents a novel educational initiative implemented at a Midwestern university, where a mock digital ad agency class serves as a preparatory course for students entering an immersive digital marketing course as part of a digital marketing minor.
The mock digital ad agency class is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical …

The Importance of STEM in Early Education
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education has gained widespread recognition as a critical component of early childhood education. This abstract highlights the significance of integrating STEM concepts and skills into the early education curriculum and the benefits it offers to young learners.
Early childhood is a crucial period for cognitive and skill development, and STEM education provides a foundation for fostering curiosity, problem-solving abilities, and a love for learning from an early age. By introducing STEM concepts to young children, educators can help them develop a strong foundation in these disciplines and …

A Survey Of Maximal K-Degenerate Graphs And K-Trees, Allan Bickle
Theory & Applications of Graphs
This article surveys results on maximal $k$-degenerate graphs, $k$-trees,
and related classes including simple $k$-trees, $k$-paths, maximal
outerplanar graphs, and Apollonian networks. These graphs are important
in many problems in graph theory and computer science. Types of results
surveyed include structural characterizations, enumeration, degree
sets and sequences, chromatic polynomials, algorithms, and related
extremal problems.
