The 88th Annual Meeting of the Georgia Public Health Association (GPHA) was held in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 11-12, 2017, with pre-conference (April 10th) and post-conference (April 12th) Executive Board meetings. As Georgia’s leading forum for public health researchers, practitioners, and students, the annual meeting of the GPHA brings together participants from across the state to explore recent developments in the field and to exchange techniques, tools, and experiences. Introduces students to appropriate design, implementation, and analysis of primary environmental exposures and how they are influenced by public health ethics, equity and disparities. Specific topics covered include designing risk profiles; evaluating dose-response relationships; assessing the contribution of public health ethics, equity and disparities to environmental exposures; and analyzing field exposures of toxins.

Missing Student Notification Policy
Student Affairs Policies
To ensure compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act). The Clery Act requires institutions maintaining on-campus housing facilities to establish a missing student notification policy and related procedures (20 USC 1092 (j) Section 488 of the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008). All institutions who receive federal aid administered under the Secretary of Education must comply with the Clery Act.

The purpose of this policy is to establish a university-wide emergency management program. The emergency management program will provide the framework with which the university will reduce vulnerability to hazards, develop capabilities to manage incidents, and build resiliency to recover from incidents effectively.

Directed Gifts, Love Offerings And The Uncertain Guidance Of Irs Publication 526 For Donors And Donees To Non-Profit Organizations: Literature Review, Victoria Liggett
Honors College Theses
Love offerings are donations given to an identified beneficiary of a non-profit organization. It can be challenging for tax experts to make accurate tax assessments based on such offerings and enormously difficult for the layperson. This is exacerbated by the unclear directives of the IRS, which include the sometimes nearly inscrutable guidelines of IRS Publication 526. The lack of clarity makes this a hazard for accountants and attorneys involved in tax preparation. National Youth Advocacy & Resilience Conference
The third wave of educational reform goes beyond narrowly focusing on student achievement (first wave) to also recognizing the need for social-emotional learning (second wave), and now including wraparound services for health, safety, and family/community engagement to equitably meet the holistic needs of all students, especially those in poverty. Contributing to the third wave, the “5H” Holistic Framework (5HHF) provides five protective/promotive factors to meet students’ needs and promote their holistic well-being: Head (academic achievement), Heart (social-emotional care), Hand (safety/security), Health (physical/mental health), and Home (family/community engagement).
