One purpose of this study was to establish Georgia norms for the Teacher Motivation Diagnostic Questionnaire (TMDQ), an instrument designed to assess four specific aspects of teacher motivation. The four aspects included (a) Principal Expectations, the beliefs teachers have about how much principals value student achievement, (b) Future Utility, how much teachers believe improvement in student achievement would benefit them, (c) Self-Concept of Ability, how much confidence teachers have that they can improve student achievement, and (d) Attitude Toward Principal, the attitudes teachers have about the principal. A Suffering Odyssey: A Phenomenological-Interpretive Analysis, William M. Scott

The purpose of this study is to explicate how suffering is experienced and interpreted by sufferers. Nursing and medical literature, until quite recently, has been visibly bereft on the topic of human suffering. The subject is made even more confusing because of a lack of a standardized definition: By its very essence, suffering is a relative experience, highly personalized and intimately interpreted. In the past, it has been related to mental anguish, injury, loss, stress, and pain.
Five individuals from contextually different regions of the world were asked to share their suffering stories. Two lived in the southern coastal area …

According to recent data, between 25% and 50% of patients are noncompliant in their therapy regimen in some manner. The fourth report of the Joint National Committee on the Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure (Neal, 1989) states that noncompliance is the major problem in hypertension control.
It was hypothesized there would be a difference in the compliance of hypertensive patients whose medication regimen consisted of single daily dosing as opposed to those patients whose regimen consisted of two or more times a day dosing.

Comparison Study Of First Time Abortion Patients Versus Repeat Abortion Patients Using Rotter's Locus Of Control, Sharon Holmes

Increases in the number of abortions and high repeatabortion rates has caused concern among health care providers. The purpose of this study was to determine if there was a correlation between the scores on Rotter's Locus of Control Scale of women obtaining an abortion for the first time versus women repeating the procedure. The sample for this study consisted of 84 women who went to a private abortion clinic in a southeastern city. Rotter's (1966) Locus of Control Test with an additional questionnaire was utilized to obtain demographic data and the responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics.
