The Integer-Antimagic Spectra Of Graphs With A Chord, Richard M. Low, Dan Roberts, Jinze Zheng Feb 2021

The Integer-Antimagic Spectra Of Graphs With A Chord, Richard M. Low, Dan Roberts, Jinze Zheng

Theory & Applications of Graphs

Let Α be a nontrival abelian group. A connected simple graph G = (V, E) is Α-antimagic if there exists an edge labeling f: E(G) → A \ {0} such that the induced vertex labeling f+: V(G) → Α, defined by f+(v) = Σ{uv ∈ E(G) f(uv), is injective. The integer-antimagic spectrum of a graph G is the set IAM(G) = {k |G is {Ζ}k-antimagic} and k ≥2. In this paper, we determine the integer-antimagic spectra for cycles with a chord, paths with a chord, and wheels with a chord.

Consequences Of Covid-19 Crisis For Persons With Hiv: The Impact Of Social Determinants Of Health, Kristie Cason Waterfield, Gulzar H. Shah, Gina D. Etheredge, Osaremhen Ikhile

Health Policy & Community Health: Faculty Publications

Background

With the indiscriminate spread of COVID-19 globally, many populations are experiencing negative consequences such as job loss, food insecurity, and inability to manage existing medical conditions and maintain preventive measures such as social distancing and personal preventative equipment. Some of the most disadvantaged in the COVID-19 era are people living with HIV/AIDS and other autoimmune diseases.

Discussion

As the number of new HIV infections decrease globally, many subpopulations remain at high risk of infection due to lack of or limited access to prevention services, as well as clinical care and treatment. For persons living with HIV or at higher …

Public Notes To The Rescue! Connecting Resources, Services, And Practices In The Library Catalog, Rebecca Hunnicutt, Jeffrey Mortimore Feb 2021

Public Notes To The Rescue! Connecting Resources, Services, And Practices In The Library Catalog, Rebecca Hunnicutt, Jeffrey Mortimore

University Libraries: Faculty Presentations

Presentation given by Georgia Southern faculty members Rebecca Hunnicutt and Jeffrey Mortimore at the Catalog Management Interest Group, ALA Core Virtual Interest Group.

Communicating connections between library resources, services, and practices is challenging, especially via the catalog. How do we help researchers find special collection items, locate finding aids, and schedule viewings? How do we communicate that demand-driven ebooks are briefly available, but then must be requested for purchase? To use resources effectively, patrons need to be aware of related services and practices but relaying that information can be difficult. What if the catalog is the patron’s only point of …

Covid-19 Exposures And Health Alerts (1/18/2021- 1/24/2021), Georgia Southern University

Covid-19 Pandemic: News & Publications (Archived)

The report below shows an anticipated rise in confirmed and self-reported cases after completion of the second full week of classes on our campuses. As an institution of nearly 27,000 students and 3,350 employees, positive reports represent a very small proportion of our overall university population. These cases are primarily concentrated within the student population on the Statesboro campus. While we have been pleased with how the university community is complying with public health guidelines on our campuses, we must remain vigilant in our efforts if we want to continue the semester as we have started.

The Resilience Cascade: Supporting Children, Families, Organizations And Communities, Nefertiti Poyner Jan 2021

The Resilience Cascade: Supporting Children, Families, Organizations And Communities, Nefertiti Poyner

Southern Conference on Children (2006-2022)

As we think about the most effective strategies to promote the overall well-being and happiness of children, we don’t always appreciate the need to focus on our own well-being, the health of our colleagues and organizations, and even the strengths of our communities. There is, however, plenty of research that directs us to do just that - to focus on the child within the context of the child’s family, school and community. This presentation will introduce the concept of the resilience cascade: how strong communities that collaborate can influence the health of organizations and staff, and how healthy adults can …
