อะดีนอยด์ ซีสติค คาร์ซิโนม่า ของต่อมน้ำลาย)เล็ก และ ต่อมน้ำลายใต้กรามอักเสบ, ปิยะพงศ์ นิโครธา, สิทธิพร กาญจนพล, ชาติชาย พัฒนศิษฐางกูร

รายงานนี้ กล่าวถึงผู้ป่วยชายไทยที่มีก้อนใต้ลิ้นบริเวณพื้นของปาก (Floor of mouth) ทางด้านซ้าย มีประวัติเป็นมาประมาณ 1 ปี ได้ให้การรักษาโดยการผ่าตัดควักเอาก้อนทูม (Tumor) ออกทั้งก้อน ผลการตรวจทางพยาธิวิทยา พบว่าเป็น อะดีนอยด์ ซีสติค คาร์ซิโนม่า ของต่อมน้ำลายเล็ก หลังจากนั้นอีก 1 เดือน คนไข้มาหาอีกครั้ง พบว่ามีก้อนเกิดขึ้นบริเวณใต้กรามข้างซ้าย (Left submandibular region) ลักษณะแข็ง ซึ่งคนไข้ไม่เคยเป็นมาก่อน ได้ทําการตัดชิ้นเนื้อส่วนหนึ่งไปตรวจทางพยาธิวิทยา พบว่า เป็น ต่อมน้ำลายอักเสบ (Salivary gland Sialadenitis) จึงได้ทําการผ่าตัด ควักเอา ต่อมน้ำลายใต้กรามข้างซ้ายออกทั้งก้อน ขณะนี้กําลังติดตามคนไข้ และคนไข้ยังมีชีวิตอยู่

บทความนี้สรุปงานวิจัยที่ประเมินคุณค่าเนื้อหาและรูปเล่มของหนังสือชีวประวัติเฉพาะที่เขียนถึงบุคคลสัญชาติไทย โดยนักเขียนไทย เป็นภาษาไทย และพิมพ์จำหน่ายในช่วงเวลาระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2475 - 2523 รูปแบบการเขียนแยกได้เป็นสองชนิด คือ หนังสือชีวประวัติ และหนังสืออัตชีวประวัติ การประเมินคุณค่าทำโดยการเทียบคุณลักษณะที่มีในหนังสือ ชีวประวัติแต้ละเล่ม ตามเกณฑ์ที่ผู้วิจัยจัดทำขึ้นจากการรวบรวมทฤษฎีและ ข้อมูลในสิ่งพิมพ์ต่าง ๆ ตลอดจนการสัมภาษณ์ งานวิจัยนี้ได้จัดทำบรรณานิทัศน์ และดรรชนีชื่อเจ้าของชีวประวัติที่ปรากฏในหนังสือชีวประวัติที่ใช้เป็นประชากรในการวิจัย รวมทั้งสิ้น 336 เรื่อง

กบฏไพร่" ดูจะเป็นคำที่ติดปากและใช้กันอย่างกว้างขวางในกลุ่มนักประวัติศาสตร์ไทยปัจจุบัน คํานี้ถูกนํามาใช้อธิบายกบฏต่าง ๆ ทั้งในส่วนกลางและส่วนภูมิภาค โดยเฉพาะกบฏที่เกิดขึ้นในสมัยอยุธยา ในรัชกาลพระมหาธรรมราชาและพระเพทราชา บทความนี้มุ่งที่จะศึกษากบฏ ในสมัยอยุธยาที่ถูกขนานนาม โดย นักวิชาการปัจจุบันว่าเป็น "กบฏไพร่" คือ กบฏญาณพิเชียร กบฏธรรมเถียร และกบฏบุญกว้าง ว่าแท้ที่จริงแล้วกบฏเหล่านั้นยังมีทางเลือกที่จะเป็นอื่นนอกเหนือไปจากการที่จำต้องเป็น "กบฏไพร่" ได้หรือไม่ ?

The news of the death of Ajarn M.L. Boonlua Debyasuvarn has shocked and saddened her many friends all over the world. At once a host of memories spring to mind of that most unstuffy and delightful lady. In her later years, when I knew her, she was somewhat frail in physique but she remained decisively firm of mind. She tempered matters of professional concern with a delightfully quirkish sense of humour and was always ready to justify what in other's eyes seemed small eccentricities.

We are all familar with the five body senses : smell, taste, touch, sight, and hearing. As educators we are convinced that if we increase the involvement of these senses we will facilitate learning. For example, one can learn a great deal more about the baking of bread if instead of only reading and talking about it, one actually mixes the ingredients, kneads the dough, watches it as it cooks, smells it as it bakes, and finally eats it. There is little doubt that active involvement of the body senses increases the quantity and quality of learning.

I should like to point out at the outset that the present study on language transfer phenomenon from Thai to English is text-bound rather than attempting at delineating the psycholinguistic processes of transfers. In other words, Selinker's-five processes vital in accounting for 'interlanguage,' a succession of stages of acquiring proficiency in a target language, the so-called 'language transfer,' 'transfer of training,' 'strategies of second language learning,' 'strategies of second language communication,' and 'overgeneralization of target language linguistic material' have been combined to explain the surface manifestation of language transfer, or Selinker's 'interlanguage.'

Learning to speak grammatical, idiomatic, appropriate English is clearly not an easy task for native speakers of Thai. For in their language, articles do not exist, verbs are not inflected, and a single relative pronoun embraces "that" and the various WH-forms in English. To make matters worse, semantic fields often do not nicely overlap in the two languages, certain constructions differ considerably and differences in rhythm and intonation make pronunciation a persistent problem.

As a native speaker of any language,one has both linguistic and communicative competence. That is one has internalized not only the dictionary and grammatical rules hut also all that is required in verbal behavior. Not only can one produce all the grammatical sentences but one can participate appropiately and effectively in a verbal communication. One can tell if a sentence is grammatical or if what is being said is a joke,an insult, something polite or something inappropiate and in certain situations one knows what one is expected to say.
