This paper revises and presents the curriculum and demographic data for the 26 ABET accredited Architectural Engineering programs in the United States. It is an update to the 2007 paper: “Architectural Engineering Programs: Finding Common  Ground” in which the 17 existing ABET accredited programs were analyzed based on their course offerings, diversity of organization, and their common ground in the academic community. In Vitro Investigation Of Myoblasts As A Cell Therapy Candidate And Their Effects On Macrophages, Olivia Armas, Erica Duffy, Arthur Klujian, Clara Markel, Franklin Ng, Elisabeth Stodola

Human macrophage isolation was successful with a 10% yield. Isolations are being further refined using an autoMACS cell separator, providing students instructional training on industry-level equipment that is commonly used. Through the primary human myoblast and murine macrophage co-culture, a significant shift in phenotype was demonstrated. Macrophage morphology varies with polarization and was used to evaluate the impact of factors and myoblasts at polarizing macrophages. Macrophage morphology was measured using an Image J analysis that quantified the axial ratio of macrophages. Axial ratio was calculated using the major axis divided by minor axis. The curriculum now provides students with consistent expectations related to safety, basic tool use, and appropriate behavior in a shop setting that directly supports the structure and expectations of the Monache Agricultural Mechanics Program.

A Novel Microfluidic Device For Preclinical Testing Of Chemotherapeutics, Kaija Saleh Ogan

This work demonstrates the feasibility of a novel microfluidic tumor model that reproduces physiologically relevant nutrient gradients and endothelium–tumor interactions, validating its potential as a preclinical test platform. Finite element simulations of glutamine diffusion and fluid dynamics aligned with experimental tracer studies, and co-cultures supported directed endothelial migration toward tumor spheroids, confirming the device’s ability to mimic in vivo–like behavior.

Current preclinical models often fail to capture the complexity of the tumor microenvironment (TME), limiting their predictive value for therapeutic testing. Nutrient availability and angiogenic signaling are critical drivers of tumor progression, yet they are poorly represented in traditional …
