The Role Of Teaching Swimming In The Formation Of A Conscious Healthy Lifestyle, Melinda Bíró, Balázs Fügedi, Laszlo Revesz
International Journal of Aquatic Research and Education
Swimming plays a particularly important role in the formation of physical, mental and spiritual well-being and in the preservation of health. The aim of this study was to investigate whether health-based education works through swimming-education. A survey was carried out by submitting an anonymous questionnaire to swimming educators (N = 46). The sample consisted of people who teach swimming to primary school pupils: physical education teachers, swimming instructors, lifeguards, swimming coaches (PE teachers 58,7%, instructors and others 41,3%, men 58,7%, women 41,3%). Metal-Mediated Peptide Assembly: Use Of Metal Coordination To Change The Oligomerization State Of An Α-Helical Coiled-Coil, Mikhail V. Tsurkan, Michael Y. Ogawa

Metal coordination is used to alter the oligomerization state of a designed peptide structure. The 30-residue polypeptide AQ-Pal21 4Pal21 contains two metal-binding 4-pyridylalanine (Pal) residues on its solvent-exposed surface and exists as a very stable two-stranded a-helical coiled-coil. Upon the addition of Pt(en)(NO3)(2), a significant conformational change to a metal-bridged, four-helix bundle is seen.
