Statistical Analysis Of Anxiety And Self-Perceived Stress Level Among People During Covid-19 Pandemic, Md. Tanwir Akhtar, Neha Gupta, Saeed H. K. Al-Dulaimi Nov 2021

Statistical Analysis Of Anxiety And Self-Perceived Stress Level Among People During Covid-19 Pandemic, Md. Tanwir Akhtar, Neha Gupta, Saeed H. K. Al-Dulaimi

Journal of Statistics Applications & Probability

In this paper, a survey was conducted online to analyze anxiety and perceived stress level among the people living in Delhi- NCR. A questionnaire was developed on the web, and its link was distributed via the internet to the people of Delhi NCR, which consists of students, professionals, nonprofessional’s, etc. The results confirm that between the two groups, female shows more anxiety level, whereas males have more perceived stress during the COVID-19 outbreak. Alternatively, the level of anxiety is high among the people aged 36-45 years, whereas perceived stress rate was higher among older people.

SARS-CoV-2 attacked more than 120 million people and causing the death of more than two million worldwide. Because of the crucial role of ACE2 protein as an entry for SRS-COV2, we investigated the proteins sequence in seventy- three living species. Data analysis of protein sequences, ACE2 mRNA, expression analysis, and protein interaction for humans and other living species were obtained from databases. The phylogenetic tree was constructed using MEGA6. We found 95% or more similarity between the conserved protein domains between Homo sapiens and Felis catus, Pan troglodytes, Pan paniscus, and Equus caballus. These species could be expressed the protein …

Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a new strain of coronavirus that may cause illness in animals or humans. SARS-CoV-2 was first identified in late December 2019, in Wuhan, China. The coronavirus infected patients ‘who suffering from Immundeficient or chronic inflammation are at higher risk of getting a severe infection from COVID-19. The symptoms such as proinflammatory and hypercoagulable, non-cardiac pneumonia, multi-organ failure, and ARDS resulting in sudden death have been seen in those patients. Supportive treatment is still the main strategy in treating this disease since there is no evidence that current medicine can prevent or cure the infection resulting from …

Estimating Parameters Of A Seird Model Applied To Sars-Cov-2 Infections In Germany Based On The Particle Swarm Optimization Method, Evandro A. Nakajima, Antonio A. Ignacio, Denise Lange, Erika Izumi

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences

The present paper describes a particle swarm optimization (PSO) method used to estimate parameters of a Susceptible- Exposed-Infected-Recovered-Dead (SEIRD) model applied to predict SARS-CoV-2 transmission in Germany, based on data from February 15th to April 25th, 2020, considering that the lockdown in the country started on March 23rd. The model estimated patients’ mortality (4.92%) and recovery rates (95.08%), virus incubation (8.54 days), infection periods (18.65 days), as well as the basic virus reproduction number before (R0 = 11.60) and after (R0 = 0.39) lockdown. The predicted values were accurate until the 70th day. The performances achieved by the model were …

Mathematical Prospective Of Coronavirus Infections In Bahrain, Saudi Arabia And Egypt, Waheeb E Alnaser, Mahmood Abdel-Aty, Omar Al-Ubaydli Mar 2021

Mathematical Prospective Of Coronavirus Infections In Bahrain, Saudi Arabia And Egypt, Waheeb E Alnaser, Mahmood Abdel-Aty, Omar Al-Ubaydli

Information Sciences Letters

In this paper, a mathematical prospective of Coronavirus Infections in Bahrain, Suaidi Arabia and Egypt is considered taking into account the development of the propagation of COVID 19 in Wuhan city, China. The model revealed that the number of actual cases of COVID - 19 in the Kingdom of Bahrain is less than expected by about 21.3 times that of the reported cases in the city of Wuhan, while in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia it is 141.9 less and in Egypt is less than 808 times. This is may be attributed to several factors including ambient temperature, population density, …

The Digital Transformation Effects In Distance Education In Light Of The Epidemics (Covid-19) In Egypt, Walaa M. Abd-Elhafiez, Hanan H. Amin

On the relatively rare occasions when disaster forces schools and universities to close for a prolonged period of time, e- learning has helped fill the gap in instruction. In this paper, we study the role of digital transformation in e-learning systems in light of the global conditions resulting from the epidemics (COVID-19) in Egypt. Therefore, we focus on the importance of distance education at several factors, trying to assess the staffs response and students to new education methods and assess the distance education experience in Egyptian universities. Where the study set that various staff excited to utilize this method, unlike …
