The Role Of Nurses In Interprofessional Pharmaceutical Care: A Qualitative Descriptive Study Of International Expert Perspectives, Marko Petrovic, Mirko Prosen Sep 2026

The Role Of Nurses In Interprofessional Pharmaceutical Care: A Qualitative Descriptive Study Of International Expert Perspectives, Marko Petrovic, Mirko Prosen

Individual Articles

Introduction: Pharmaceutical care has evolved from a pharmacist-led model to an interprofessional approach involving doctors, pharmacists, and nurses. Effective collaboration is key to patient safety and treatment optimisation, yet it is often hindered by hierarchical systems, unclear roles, and poor communication. A lack of formalised frameworks further limits collaboration.

Aim: This study explores interprofessional collaboration in pharmaceutical care, focusing on the role of nurses, their involvement in collaborative practice, and the competencies essential for effective teamwork as identified by international experts.

Methods: A qualitative study using semi-structured interviews was conducted with five international experts, selected through purposive sampling. Data were …

“I Was Not Wonder Woman And Required Help”: Black, Latina, And White Women’S Recovery From The Covid-19 Pandemic, J. Mitchell Vaterlaus, Colton Pierce, Harry Foster, Alison Brennan, Nicole Wanago Sep 2026

“I Was Not Wonder Woman And Required Help”: Black, Latina, And White Women’S Recovery From The Covid-19 Pandemic, J. Mitchell Vaterlaus, Colton Pierce, Harry Foster, Alison Brennan, Nicole Wanago

Journal of Social, Behavioral, and Health Sciences

The COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately affected women, particularly women of color, yet less is known about their recovery experiences following the end of the public health emergency. This exploratory mixed-methods study examined recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic among Black, Latina, and White women in the United States. Participants (N = 133) completed a survey that included a self-reported recovery measure and open-ended questions regarding their recovery experiences. A chi-square analysis indicated a significant association between race/ethnicity and recovery status, with Latina women more likely to report ongoing recovery than Black and White women. Codebook thematic analysis identified four themes: (1) …

Albert Goodman Housing Development Fund Corp. V. Brown Sep 2026

Albert Goodman Housing Development Fund Corp. V. Brown

All Decisions

Petitioner moves to vacate an ERAP stay and restore this 2022 nonpayment proceeding to the calendar after receiving a $12,114 ERAP payment in April 2024, asserting $25,833 remains due through May 2026. Court denies restoration under the four-prong test of 22 NYCRR §208.14(c): (1) no meritorious cause of action, as the ledger includes arrears predating respondent's tenancy—rent from 2018–2019, two years before his 2021 lease commenced; (2) no reasonable excuse for delay, given that ERAP was paid in April 2024 but the motion was not filed until May 2026; (3) restoration would prejudice respondent by forcing him to defend arrears …

2700 Jerome Avenue Lihtc Llc V. Jean

All Decisions

Respondent, a Section 8 voucher holder whose monthly tenant share is covered by HRA shelter checks paid directly to petitioner, moved to dismiss on the ground that the predicate rent demand is defective. Comparison of petitioner's demand against HRA payment records and petitioner's own rent ledger shows the demand failed to credit earmarked HRA payments—inflating the claimed arrears to roughly twice the actual balance due at the time. Court grants dismissal under RPAPL §711(2): a rent demand must set forth a good-faith approximation of rent owed and cannot be amended; ignoring credited agency payments denies respondent a fair opportunity to …

Enhancing Early Detection Of Suicide Risk In Outpatient Settings Through Standardized Implementation Of The Ask Suicide Screening Questions Tool, Shayla Lee Sep 2026

Enhancing Early Detection Of Suicide Risk In Outpatient Settings Through Standardized Implementation Of The Ask Suicide Screening Questions Tool, Shayla Lee

Doctor of Nursing Practice Projects

Suicide is a leading cause of death in the United States, highlighting the need for routine suicide risk identification. Evidence supports standardized suicide screening can promote early identification of suicide risk. A needs assessment at an outpatient mental health clinic identified the absence of a standardized suicide screening and referral process. The purpose of this quality improvement project was to implement the Ask Suicide-Screening Questions (ASQ) Tool and a standardized referral protocol. The aim was to evaluate ASQ documentation, referral rates, and staff self-efficacy over four weeks. Peplau’s Interpersonal Relations Theory, Lewin’s Change Theory, and the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) framework guided …

"How Do I Design My Law Course?": A Quick Guide For New Professors, Steven Arrigg Koh Sep 2026

"How Do I Design My Law Course?": A Quick Guide For New Professors, Steven Arrigg Koh

Faculty Scholarship

How do professors start teaching law? This question is a particular challenge for new law professors, who often lack resources for course design. Written from the perspective of a recently tenured law professor, this Essay offers four major categories of decisions: semester structure, classroom, final exam, and “professorial personality.” It argues that, for each decision, reasonable minds can differ. This Essay also provides some personal reflections on the decision-making to illustrate how one professor might weigh various considerations in course design. A final Appendix is a checklist for new professors.

Research Preparedness Among Osteopathic Medical Students In The Post-Pass/Fail Licensing Examination Era: Bridging The Gap Between Rising Expectations And Student Confidence, Abbigail Niewchas, Taylor Clark, Jonathan Swiastyn, Diana Hamdan, Christopher Stewart, Magalie Zoungrana, John R. Dobson

Student Publications

Background: Since the transition of COMLEX Level 1 and USMLE Step 1 to pass/fail scoring, research productivity has become an increasingly important component of residency applications. National match data demonstrate increasing expectations for research experiences, abstracts, presentations, and publications across specialties. However, limited data describe how osteopathic medical students perceive their research preparedness, access to institutional research resources, and confidence in achieving competitive scholarly productivity in the post-pass/fail licensing examination era.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey of osteopathic medical students assessed research preparedness, institutional support, perceived barriers, and preferred strategies to increase research involvement. Descriptive statistics and exploratory correlation analyses were …

“Perceived Usefulness And The Role Of Electronic Libraries In Supporting E-Learning (2010–2025): A Systematic Review Of Empirical Studies, Comfort Oluwapelumi Egunyemi (Cln), Ifeoluwa Adenike Ayoola

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)

Abstract

Electronic libraries have become essential tools in supporting e-learning by providing users with timely and flexible access to digital academic resources. This study examined the perceived usefulness and role of electronic libraries in supporting e-learning, particularly within Nigerian universities.

The study adopted a systematic literature review methodology in which relevant empirical and scholarly studies were purposively selected and critically analysed. Findings revealed that students perceive electronic libraries as useful for accessing course materials, conducting research, completing assignments, and promoting independent learning. The review further showed that electronic libraries contribute significantly to knowledge organization, information accessibility, and flexible learning environments …
