The present study was carried out for six months to detect the presence of some important chemical contaminants (bromate, nitrate, chloroform, and ammonium) in the drinking water of Baghdad at ten sampling sites. The study suggested the use of orange peel powder (OPP) as a cheap and eco-friendly biosorbent. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to confirm the amorphous nature, surface and structural characteristics of OPP. Further, SEM investigation also showed very microporous surface. Background: Integrated lifestyle interventions combining nutritional, physical, and psychological strategies may improve glycemic control in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). However, evidence regarding the combined effects of high-fiber functional foods, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), and mindfulness therapy remains limited, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. This study evaluated the effects of a multimodal lifestyle intervention on glycemic responses among individuals with T2DM and non-diabetic adults.

Anion engineering has emerged as an effective strategy for improving the activity and stability of RuO₂ catalysts toward acidic oxygen evolution reaction (OER). However, the relatively low oxidation potentials of most anionic dopants render them prone to over-oxidation and dissolution under OER conditions, limiting their long-term effectiveness. Herein, we present a surface oxyanion-engineering strategy by anchoring selenate (SeO₄^2-), a thermodynamically stable oxyanion, onto RuO₂ through interfacial Se-O-Ru linkages. Mechanistic investigations reveal that surface-bound SeO₄^2- functions as an electron-withdrawing regulator, increasing the oxidation state of Ru-O bonds, which suppresses excessive lattice oxygen participation and …

Disaster risks in tourism villages are increasing, generating multidimensional impacts on environmental, economic, institutional, and public health. In late 2024, Mattabulu Tourism Village experienced an 83% decline in tourist visits following a series of disasters, disrupting tourism activities and weakening local governance capacity. This study uses a qualitative case study design to evaluate disaster mitigation policy implementation through the “Sipatokkong” Program. Evaluation applied four Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development–Development Assistance Committee (OECD-DAC) criteria: relevance, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability, operationalized through policy implementation, street-level bureaucracy, and collaborative governance frameworks. Hydrogen production from water electrolysis represents a crucial pathway for renewable energy storage, yet the anodic oxygen evolution reaction (OER) remains the efficiency bottleneck due to its sluggish kinetics. In this study, we present a chromium-doped ruthenium dioxide (py-RuO₂:Cr) synthesized using a simple one-step pyrolysis method, and evaluate its OER catalytic performance. The py-RuO₂:Cr catalyst reveals excellent OER activity with an overpotential of only 196 mV at 10 mA∙cm^-2, and operates stably for over 500 h in acidic media. The escalating global ecological crisis highlights the need for new approaches to sustainability education, while the cognitive role of Second Language Acquisition (SLA) remains underexplored. This study employs a critical literature review with a systematic search and qualitative thematic synthesis to develop a proposed Green Language Pedagogy (GLP) model. The review followed a four-stage screening protocol (identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion) and analyzed 50 theoretical and empirical sources published between 2014 and 2025. Background: Neurofeedback training has gained attention as a neuroplasticity based intervention for athletic performance, yet pathways linking cortical oscillatory modulation to neuromuscular adaptation and strength remain poorly characterized in elite combat athletes. Objective: This study examines whether EEG neurofeedback targeting sensorimotor alpha upregulation and frontal theta/delta modulation enhances cortico-muscular coherence, neuromuscular function, and maximal strength in elite MMA athletes. Background: Biologic therapies, such as omalizumab, mepolizumab, dupilumab, and benralizumab, are increasingly used in the treatment of various type 2 inflammatory diseases, including chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis (CRSwNP), asthma, and atopic dermatitis. While these biologic therapies have demonstrated efficacy and safety in their respective clinical trials, real-world characterization of the use of biologic therapies provides insight into how these treatments are prescribed and utilized among the general population.

As college athletic departments continue to put considerable resources into basketball facilities, understanding the impact these venues can have on attendance has become increasingly vital. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of new basketball facilities on attendance among NCAA Division I men's basketball programs. Using a longitudinal pre-post comparative research design, 20 programs that opened new venues since the 2015-16 season served as the sample. A dataset was created using publicly available secondary archival data sources.
