A Chronology Of Medieval Historical Narratives, János M. Bak, Ivan Jurković, Justin Lake
All Complete Monographs
This chronological guide intends to offer a first orientation in the historiography and hagiography of the Middle Ages, from ca. 500 a.d. to ca. 1500 a.d. Its specialty is that—in contrast to most other reference works—it is not organized alphabetically by author and/or title, but chronologically, by centuries. We attempted to list texts written later—or even much later—than the period covered, but containing relevant information on it; however, we do not claim completeness for these long-term titles. In other words: if one wants to know, which chronicles (in the widest sense) and saints’ lives contain a narrative for a given …

Boots And Bail On The Ground: Assessing The Implementation Of Misdemeanor Bail Reforms In Georgia, Andrea Woods, Sandra G. Mayson, Lauren Sudeall, Guthrie Armstrong, Anthony Potts
Georgia Law Review
This Article presents a mixed-methods study of misdemeanor bail practice across Georgia in the wake of reform. We observed bail hearings and interviewed system actors in a representative sample of fifty-five counties to assess the extent to which pretrial practice conforms to legal standards clarified in Senate Bill 407 and Walker v. Calhoun. We also analyzed jail population data published by county jails and by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. We found that a handful of counties have made promising headway in adhering to law and best practices, but that the majority have some distance to go. Most counties …

Emerging Rapid Aggregate And Concrete Test Methods For Formulating Asr-Resistant Concrete, Anol Mukhopadhyay, Kai-Wei Liu
Emerging Rapid Aggregate And Concrete Test Methods For Formulating Asr-Resistant Concrete, Anol Mukhopadhyay, Kai-Wei Liu
International Conference on Durability of Concrete Structures
The main objective of this study was to develop rapid aggregate and concrete test methods and a combined innovative approach for formulating performance based ASR resistant concrete mixes. An innovative step by step approach has been developed to formulate ASR resistant concrete mixes based on four recommended steps. In step 1, determination of aggregate ASR composite activation energy (CAE) and threshold alkalinity (THA) by using a rapid aggregate chemical test called volumetric change measuring device (VCMD) is performed. The lower the CAE the higher the reactivity is. Based on the measured CAE and THA, mix design formulation is conducted in …

Library Publishing Curriculum Policy Module: Copyright (Unit 1), Instructor's Guide, Sara Benson, Harriet Green, Merinda Kaye Hensley, Janet Swatscheno, Katherine Skinner, Melanie Schlosser
Library Publishing Curriculum
This unit provides a primer on aspects of United States copyright law that relate to library publishing and provides guidance on creating two essential copyright policies: 1. An externally facing copyright policy for authors considering publishing with the library publishing unit; and 2. A copyright review policy for internal purposes (i.e. how to review submitted publications for copyright issues). Nothing in this unit substitutes for legal advice or constitutes legal advice. It is important to work closely with University Counsel when working to comply with University copyright policies, legal requirements, and the needs of the publishing group.

Library Publishing Curriculum
The Policy Module covers how library publishers develop policies that guide specific areas of their work. In this initial release, it is focused on policies related to copyright, diversity, and digital preservation, and guidance on creating legal agreements. We recognize that there are many more policies that may be used by library publishers, and hope to expand this module in future.
Piloting Faculty Oer Grant Programs - A Practical Guide For Librarians, Christopher Barnes
Piloting Faculty Oer Grant Programs - A Practical Guide For Librarians, Christopher Barnes
All Musselman Library Staff Works
This community resource was created as a component of my capstone project for the 2017-2018 pilot of the SPARC Open Education Leadership Program. My goal was to determine whether my institution was ready for a faculty OER grant program pilot and design one that would be both effective and sustainable. Over the course of the project, I found myself compiling the most important questions we at Gettysburg College needed to answer to determine whether and what kind of a grant program was best for us.
Part One of this resource is therefore an organized list of the questions I found …
