Autistic youth experience anxiety at an increased rate compared to their neurotypical counterparts. The presence of anxiety often amplifies the social and functional difficulties faced by autistic youth, which can exacerbate poor outcomes. Intolerance of uncertainty (IU), defined as negative beliefs and reactions to unpredictable or ambiguous situations, has been identified as a key factor to the manifestation of anxiety in autistic populations. Polyamory is a consensual relationship style involving multiple romantic and/or sexual partners, with SOPO (solo polyamory), VEE, and OPP (one penis policy) being specific polyamorous dynamics that often face heightened bias. The reality show "Sister Wives" offers a compelling case study of both stigmatization and potential normalization of non-monogamous relationships in mainstream media. Effective couple interventions, such as Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy and the Relationship Checkup, include the labeling of common relationship patterns. This study hypothesized that a micro-intervention using nature metaphors, such as “Porcupine–Turtle,” would produce greater improvements in relationship health relative to descriptive labels such as “Approach–Withdraw.” Twenty-five couples were presented with nature metaphor patterns, while 24 couples were presented with descriptive patterns. Several measures of relationship health showed significant improvements across both groups, while other measures showed significant improvements for descriptive patterns only. Generally, nature metaphor patterns were initially rated as more novel and more resonant. Broadly, these results add …

Modern multi-agent Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) operations heavily rely on mobile geospatial Common Operating Pictures (COPs) to maintain team coordination and Situational Awareness (SA). However, the proliferation of high-frequency sensor telemetry at the tactical edge has introduced a data saturation paradox challenge: while information theoretically drives informed decision-making, unmanaged data surges induce increased operator cognitive overload and alert fatigue on mobile End-User Devices (EUDs), while downstream data-broadcasting models inherently strain edge processing and viewport environments.

The purpose of this paper is to delineate the causes and dangers of truth decay for a democracy, the role education has played in the process, and how education can present a resistance to this dangerous trend. Truth decay has been characterized as an increase in quantity of opinion over fact, divergent views on what constitutes a fact, and decreased confidence of traditional sources of information. We agree that truth decay is a serious problem but would characterize it somewhat differently. Research Summary: While changes in intellectual property rights (IPR) protection significantly shape firm innovation, the mechanisms driving firms' responses remain poorly understood. Leveraging the Second Amendment to China's Patent Law, which strengthens appropriability particularly for state-owned enterprises (SOEs), as a natural experiment, we show that stronger IPR has mixed effects on SOEs' innovation. While SOEs increase the rate of innovation subsequent to the Amendment, they shift the direction of innovation toward more familiar areas in which they face a lesser need to adjust existing routines. This directional change suggests a quality decline in SOEs' innovation that may be attributed to …

A commonly held perspective in the cultural tightness literature is that cultural tightness tends to negatively impact creativity. Yet some findings indicate that this relationship is not strictly negative and that a more nuanced perspective should be considered. Drawing on social information processing (SIP) theory and social role theory, we build theory on how the perception of organizational cultural tightness can increase creativity for some employees, but not for others. Impostor phenomenon (IP) is a common experience among individuals in achievement contexts characterized largely by feelings of self-doubt, attributions of success that focus on external factors, and beliefs that one is “fooling” others about their competence. Current research suggests the effects of IP are complex (e.g., IP is associated with higher grade point average and productivity but also self-handicapping, psychological distress, and difficulties adjusting to college). To better understand these complex effects, this study proposes a self-control perspective for IP, where this phenomenon is seen as involving additional self-control burdens. Palm oil is the most widely produced and consumed vegetable oil worldwide, but its production is associated with deforestation and other environmental and social problems. Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is the only internationally-recognized voluntary certification standard aimed at mitigating such problems. Many studies examine RSPO’s effects on particular outcomes in specific contexts, but a consolidated global assessment is lacking. Here, we systematically review the literature and identify 53 original studies covering RSPO effects in various countries of Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Regular maintenance during non-traffic hours (NTH) is vital for the resilience of urban rail transit (URT) systems, yet an insufficient NTH maintenance window poses a challenge for URT systems in various cities. For instance, the Hong Kong MTR Corporation has noted that the required NTH maintenance time often exceeds the available window, prompting service adjustments such as earlier late-night closures and/or later early-morning starts. To address this challenge, this study develops an optimal scheduling framework that links late-night and early-morning URT services through the NTH maintenance window requirement to maximize public welfare. การวิจัยครั้งนี้ศึกษาความสามารถในการดูดซับตะกั่วในน้ำเสียสังเคราะห์ของ ซิลิกาเจลที่เคลือบด้วยโพลีเอทธิลีนไอมีน (Polyethyleneimine หรือ PEI) ซึ่งทำการศึกษาที่ความเข้มข้นต่ำ โดยได้ทดลองเตรียมซิลิกาเจลเคลือบด้วยโพลีเอทธิลีนไอมีน (Sil/PEI) และหาอัตราส่วนในการเคลือบที่เหมาะสม แล้วนำมาทดลองกำจัดน้ำเสียสังเคราะห์ตะกั่วโดยการทดลองแบบแบตซ์ ที่พีเอชช่วง 4-7 และศึกษาผลของความแรงไอออน (Ionic strength) ต่อความสามารถในการดูดซับ แล้วเลือกพีเอช ที่เหมาะสมเพื่อนำไปศึกษาความสามารถในการดูดซับโดยใช้การทดลองแบบคอลัมน์

The far Right in America has become radical. In the process, it has outmaneuvered the progressives. In the first months of his second mandate, President Trump has mounted a revolution (or counterrevolution) against the liberal democratic state. Steve Bannon said he was Leninist and wanted to “smash the state.” President Trump has done just that. In this essay, I explore the far Right’s embrace of Lenin. การประยุกต์ใช้หญ้าแฝกในการปรับปรุงคุณภาพน้ำเสียของหนองน้ำที่เกิดจากแหล่งศักยภาพที่ก่อมลภาวะที่แตกต่าง กันคือ 1) ระยะทาง/ศักยภาพที่ได้รับมลพิษมากที่สุด 2) ระยะทาง/ศักยภาพที่ได้รับมลพิษมาก 3) ระยะทาง/ศักยภาพที่ ได้รับมลพิษปานกลาง และ 4) ระยะทาง/ศักยภาพที่ได้รับมลพิษน้อย โดยใช้หญ้าแฝกพันธุ์สงขลา 3 เป็นการวางแผนการทดลอง แบบ RCBD 3 ซ้ำ การศึกษาพบว่าหญ้าแฝกสามารถทำให้ค่า TDS, EC และ pH เปลี่ยนแปลงเล็กน้อยไปในทางที่ดี ขณะที่ค่า DO และ BOD มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงมากตามฤดูกาลโดยเฉพาะฤดูร้อนมีผลกระทบ มาก เช่น 1) ระยะทาง/ศักยภาพที่ได้รับมลพิษมากที่สุด 2) ระยะทาง/ศักยภาพที่ได้รับมลพิษมาก 3) ระยะทาง/ศักยภาพที่ได้รับมลพิษปานกลางและ 4) ระยะทาง/ ศักยภาพที่ได้รับมลพิษน้อย มีค่า BOD เฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 85, 84, 68 และ 76 มก./ลิตร ตามลำดับ ขณะที่แหล่งมลพิษมีค่าเท่ากับ 398 มก./ลิตร ส่วนค่า DO มีค่าเท่ากับ 3.2, 3.3, 3.8 และ 4.1 มก./ลิตรตามลำดับ ขณะ ที่แหล่งมลพิษมีค่าเท่ากับ 2.9 มก./ลิตร หญ้าแฝกสามารถเจริญเติบโตได้ดีในน้ำเสียแม้จะอยู่บนหนองน้ำเป็นเวลานานถึง 12 เดือนโดยทำให้การเจริญเติบโตทางด้านลำต้น (น.น.แห้ง) เฉลี่ยเท่ากับ 16.72 กก./ ตร.ม. ขณะที่รากมีค่าเท่ากับ 5.33 กก./ตร.ม.

งานวิจัยนี้ศึกษาประสิทธิภาพการดูดซับไซยาไนด์ โครเมียมและสังกะสี โดยใช้ อะลูมินาและนิกเกิลออกไซด์เป็นตัวกลางในการดูดซับ แบ่งการทดลองเป็นแบบแบตซ์และแบบต่อเนื่องโดยใช้น้ำเสียสังเคราะห์ซึ่งเป็นตัวแทนของน้ำเสียจากโรงงานชุบโลหะ ผลการทดลองแบบแบตซ์พบว่า ในกรณีน้ำเสียสังเคราะห์ไซยาไนด์อย่างเดียวหรือ สังกะสีอย่างเดียว นิกเกิลออกไซด์มีประสิทธิภาพในการดูดซับมากกว่าอะลูมินา แต่ค่าความสามารถในการดูดซับของตัวกลางทั้งสองชนิดมีค่าตามาก ทำให้ อะลูมินาและนิกเกิลออกไซด์ไม่เหมาะสมที่จะนำมาใช้ดูดซับไซยาไนด์อย่างเดียวหรือ สังกะสีอย่างเดียว ส่วนในกรณีที่น้ำเสียสังเคราะห์ประกอบด้วยไซยาไนด์ โครเมียม และสังกะสี นิกเกิลออกไซด์มีประสิทธิภาพ ในการดูดซับไซยาไนด์และสังกะสีมากกว่า อะลูมินา ความสามารถในการดูดซับไซยาไนด์เพิ่มขึ้นตามความเข้มข้นสังกะสีที่เพิ่มสูงขึ้น ปริมาณไซยาไนด์ที่มากเกินพอมี ผลรบกวนการดูดซับสารประกอบเชิงซ้อน สังกะสีไซยาไนด์ ทำให้ความสามารถในการ ดูดซับไซยาไนด์และสังกะสีลดลงที่สภาวะสมดุลสัดส่วน โมลไซยาไนด์ต่อสังกะสีที่ถูกดูดซับบนนิกเกิลออกไซด์เป็นไปตามรูปสารประกอบเชิงซ้อนสังกะสีไซยาไนด์ที่มีในระบบ โดยที่อัตราส่วนไซยาไนด์:โครเมียม: สังกะสี เท่ากับ 50:20:100 มีค่า 1:1 อัตราส่วน 100:20:100 มีค่า 1.5:1 และ อัตราส่วน 200:20:100 มีค่า 3:1 ตามลำดับ ผลการทดลองแบบต่อเนื่องพบว่านิกเกิลออกไซด์มีประสิทธิภาพในการดูดซับไซยาไนด์และสังกะสีมากกว่าอะลูมินา ที่ อัตราการไหล 8 และ 4 มิลลิลิตรต่อนาที พบว่าเวลาสัมผัสที่มากขึ้นมีผลให้ความ สามารถในการดูดซับเพิ่มขึ้นเพียงเล็กน้อย ความเข้มข้นไซยาไนด์ที่มากเกินพอมีผลรบกวนการดูดซับสารประกอบเชิงซ้อน สังกะสีไซยาไนด์ ทำให้ความสามารถในการดูดซับไซยาไนด์และสังกะสีลดลงที่จุดเบรคทรู (Break through) สัดส่วน โมลไซยาไนด์ต่อสังกะสีที่ถูกดูดซับบนนิกเกิลออกไซด์ เป็นไปตามรูปของสารประกอบเชิงซ้อนสังกะสีไซยาไนด์ที่มีในระบบ ซึ่งอัตราส่วน ต่างๆ มีค่าใกล้เคียงกับการทดลองแบบแบตซ์

การศึกษาถึงการแทรกตัวของเถ้าลอยลิกไนต์ต่อสมบัติทางกายภาพของดินนาในแปลงนาเกษตรกรตำบลดอนยอ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครนายก ซึ่งพื้นที่นาบางส่วนเคยเติมเถ้าลอยลิกไนต์มาแล้วเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2541 ด้วยแผนการทดลองแบบ Randomize Complete Block Design ทำ 3 ซ้ำ โดย เดิมเถ้าลอยลิกไนต์อัตรา 2 ตัน/ไร่ และปุ๋ยเคมีอัตรา 25 กก./ไร่ ลงในพื้นที่ที่เคยเติมเถ้าลอยลิกไนต์ เก็บตัวอย่างดินภายหลังเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิตข้าวแล้วมาศึกษาวิจัยพบว่า เถ้าลอยลิกไนต์ที่เติมลงในดินนาได้แทรกตัวอยู่ในช่องระหว่างเม็ดดิน มีส่วนทำให้ปริมาณน้าที่พืชใช้ประโยชน์ได้ในดินที่ไม่ เคยเดิมเถ้าลอยลิกไนต์เพิ่มขึ้นจาก 2.62 เป็น 3.26 เปอร์เซ็นต์โดยปริมาตร ทั้งนี้ปริมาณน้ำที่พืชใช้ประโยชน์ได้จะมากที่สุด (3.65 เปอร์เซ็นต์โดยปริมาตร) เมื่อเติมเถ้าลอยลิกไนต์ลงในพื้นที่เดิมอีกครั้งร่วมกับปุ๋ยเคมี สำหรับความหนาแน่นรวมของดินนา (1.09 ก./ลบ.ซม.) ลดลงเมื่อเดิมเถ้าลอยลิกไนต์ (1.05 ก./ลบ.ซม.) และเพิ่มขึ้นเมื่อ เติมปุ๋ยเคมี (1.07 ก./ลบ.ซม.) ดังนั้น การแทรกตัวของเถ้าลอยลิกไนต์ในช่องระหว่างเม็ดดินของดินนาน่าจะช่วยส่งเสริมให้เพิ่มปริมาณน้ำที่พืชใช้ประโยชน์ได้ ลดความหนาแน่นรวม และเพิ่มความพรุนของดินนา โดยไม่เปลี่ยนแปลงเนื้อดินซึ่งเป็นดินเหนียว

บทบาท อำนาจ และหน้าที่ขององค์กร ปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ในการพิทักษ์รักษา ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมของไทย นั้นเป็นไปตามหลักการการกระจายอำนาจ ซึ่งมีกฎหมายรองรับที่สำคัญ 2 ฉบับคือ รัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรไทย พุทธศักราช 2540 มาตรา 290 และพระราชบัญญัติกำหนดแผนและขั้นตอนการกระจายอำนาจให้แก่องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น พ.ศ. 2542 และหลักการนี้ในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกาและญี่ปุ่นก็มีความคล้ายคลึงกับของไทย ที่ยอมรับว่า การปกครองระบอบประชาธิปไตยที่สมบูรณ์แบบนั้นจำเป็นต้องมีการกระจายอำนาจจากราชการส่วนกลางสู่ส่วนท้องถิ่น โดยเฉพาะการพิทักษ์รักษาทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ และสิ่งแวดล้อมที่มีความเกี่ยวพันโดยตรง กับองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น
จากการวิจัยพบว่า อำนาจหน้าที่ขององค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นด้านการพิทักษ์รักษาทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อมนั้น อยู่ภายใต้กฎหมายเกี่ยวกับสิ่งแวดล้อม 2 กลุ่มคือ กลุ่มกฎหมายที่มีบทบัญญัติกระจายอำนาจให้แก่องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นแล้ว กับกลุ่มกฎหมายที่ยังไม่ได้มีการกระจายอำนาจให้แด่องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ซึ่งเป็นปัญหาและอุปสรรคด้านการถ่ายโอนภารกิจด้านนี้แก่องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นอยู่ ดังนั้นการวิจัยจึงได้มีข้อเสนอให้ปรับปรุงแก้ไขภายใต้แนวทาง ดังนี้
1. แนวทางการดำเนินการปรับปรุง แก้ไขกฎหมาย โดยกำหนดให้องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นมีบทบาทในการจัดการด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างเข้มแข็งเป็นรูปธรรม เช่น การจัดทำแผนจัดการคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อมในเขตพื้นที่ปกครอง การเข้าร่วมพิจารณาให้ความเห็นชอบเกี่ยวกับการริเริ่มโครงการหรือกิจการการมีอำนาจบังคับใช้กฎหมาย เป็นต้น
2. แนวทางการปรับปรุงแก้ไขแผนปฏิบัติการกำหนดขั้นตอนการกระจายอำนาจให้แก่องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น พ.ศ. 2545 โดยการปรับปรุงแก้ไขภารกิจเพียงเท่าที่มีอยู่ และหากจะเพิ่มภารกิจใหม่ ก็ให้สอดคล้องกับอำนาจหน้าที่ด้านการ ส่งเสริมและรักษาคุณภาพสิ่งแวดล้อม
3. แนวทางการเพิ่มพูนความรู้ด้านกฎหมายสิ่งแวดล้อมแก่บุคลากรองค์กร ปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น โดยการจัดทำหลักสูตรอบรมความรู้ด้านการบังคับใช้กฎหมายสิ่งแวดล้อมแก่ผู้บริหารระดับนโยบาย และผู้ปฏิบัติงานขององค์กร ปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น

Observed group sizes rarely match the size that would maximize what each member gets from belonging. We propose a two-part theory in which group size is regulated by two related conflicts: insider-outsider conflict over admission, and within-group conflict as crowding, competition, and social tensions intensify with size. Three strategies are available: admission, exclusion, and fission. This qualitative phenomenological study examined how professional dispositions were defined, experienced, and assessed in coaching education within the rapidly expanding field of professional coaching. The problem addressed was the lack of a clear understanding of professional dispositions in coaching and the absence of a systematic dispositional assessment comparable to that in counselor education. The researcher’s purpose was to explore how credentialed professional-level coaches defined and identified professional dispositions for effective coaching engagements and how these dispositions aligned with constructs in other helping professions. Social markers of acceptance are the attributes seen as important for immigrants to achieve or display in order to be accepted similarly to a local-born citizen. In research on constructions of national identity, factor analysis reveals a culture-specific, two-factor structure akin to the ethnic–civic distinction observed. Academic library liaison programs historically varied in their functions and adapted to their organizational needs and priorities. This case study examines the integration of a mission, vision, and values statement into the liaison program at Florida Atlantic University Libraries. Originating from business and organizational theories, these statements have been adopted by nonprofit organizations, including academic libraries, to guide administrative processes and services. The study highlights a re-visioning of an established liaison program during a period of transition.
