This project examines the ongoing destruction and theft of Ukrainian cultural heritage by Russian forces since February 2022 in tandem with international cultural property law, and theory, and case studies. By studying relevant cultural property laws and gathering information from associated theories of cultural property nationalism and internationalism, this project examines how these laws and theories apply to modern Ukraine. This thesis utilizes a qualitative approach to analyze theories surrounding cultural property and heritage and explores how these theories influence international law. This Essay interrogates the reasoning behind the retrenchment toward LGBTQ rights progress that has taken place since marriage equality. With marriage rights for same-sex couples now "on the books," the Supreme Court's treatment of same-sex couples in both Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd. v. Colorado Civil Rights Comm'n and 303 Creative LLC v. Elenis reveals the status quo's hesitancy to recognize same-sex relationships on equal footing. Retrenchment, however, only describes the moment itself; it alludes to but offers no comprehensive or satisfying theory that identifies the motives behind the moves. Virtual reality has shown promise as a tool for organizational training. Implementing gamification, the use of game elements, has been shown to further improve learning outcomes. However, gamification has shown inconsistent results when applied to VR. To investigate this, we used motivational theory as a framework to select, justify, and implement game elements based on each theory to create different versions of a virtual grocery store training. Our results did not indicate any differences on performance, persistence, or error rate between each training condition, and exploratory analyses investigated the link between perceived competence and VR program quality. The mutual dependence between national integration and institution building is established in a formal model. It is shown that a decrease in transportation costs, but not necessarily an increase in population size, reduces the equilibrium number of states and the adoption of rule-based institutions. With endogenous transportation costs or endogenous population size, the unification process can feed on itself. The model is illustrated by the state of Qin's unification of China in 221 BC. During this process of national integration, transformations from relation-based governance to rule-based governance happened.

Most Americans rely on social security as a significant source of retirement income, but without congressional action, the program’s projected insolvency threatens to reduce benefits for all covered retirees. This thesis explores a path forward to legislating a fix by evaluating several proposed provisions. First, this thesis analyzes the premises and purposes of the program’s structure. By intentional design, program executives and lawmakers fostered acceptance of the program as a type of insurance. Located in Lichtenberg, Berlin (part of the former borough of Hohenschönhausen), Gedenkstätte Berlin-Hohenschönhausen stands today as a memorial for the thousands who were killed and imprisoned there, from its construction in 1939 until its closure in 1990. This paper will trace the evolution of Hohenschönhausen from a physical space of confinement, to a sophisticated psychological apparatus designed to exert control over its political prisoners through the development of “Operative Psychology” (OP). Slogans on commercial vehicles are a common sight in Ghana. These material artefacts can provide insight into beliefs and values about the sociocultural, spiritual, and political experiences of life in the contemporary Ghanaian context. In this study, we collected and analysed a total of 438 commercial vehicles’ slogans from 5 main transportation terminals in the Accra metropolitan area. Our thematic analysis of these slogans shows a major emphasis on religious and spiritual values to the extent that most of the recorded slogans serve as positive affirmations of religious values and sources of spiritual encouragement. Data collected by the Officer Down Memorial Page from 2000-2023 on K-9 deaths (N = 405) shows that of K-9s that die in the line of duty, many fall victim to heat stroke. งานวิจัยนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาการเมืองของขบวนการนักศึกษาในเวียดนามใต้ในยุคสงครามเย็น และชาตินิยมที่ซับซ้อนและลื่นไหลจากการเคลื่อนไหวทางการเมืองและสังคมของนักศึกษา งานวิจัยนี้ประกอบไปด้วย 3 ประเด็นหลักคือ พัฒนาการขบวนการนักศึกษาในเวียดนามใต้ การปลูกฝังและการจัดการศึกษาของรัฐบาลเวียดนามใต้กับความช่วยเหลือของสหรัฐอเมริกา ตลอดจนความหลากหลายของกลุ่มขบวนการนักศึกษาที่มีผูกโยงกับความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางการเมืองและสังคมนับตั้งแต่สาธารณรัฐเวียดนามถือกำเนิดขึ้น งานวิจัยนี้ใช้วิธีวิทยาทางประวัติศาสตร์โดยใช้หลักฐานชั้นต้นและชั้นรองจากฝั่งเวียดนามและอเมริกาได้แก่ หนังสือพิมพ์ วารสาร บทกวี บทเพลงและข้อเขียนของนักศึกษาเวียดนามใต้ ในส่วนที่เป็นหลักฐานฝั่งอเมริกา ได้แก่ หนังสือพิมพ์และจดหมายที่บันทึกการตอบโต้ระหว่างนักศึกษาเวียดนามใต้และกลุ่มนักศึกษาในสหรัฐอเมริกา ผลการศึกษาพบว่าการเคลื่อนไหวของขบวนการนักศึกษาแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ช่วง ได้แก่ ยุคสาธารณรัฐที่ 1 ภายใต้รัฐบาลโงดิ่งห์เสี่ยมและสาธารณรัฐที่ 2 ภายใต้เหงวียนวันเถี่ยว การเคลื่อนไหวของขบวนการนักศึกษามีความหลากหลายและซับซ้อนซึ่งไม่ได้เป็นไปเพื่อการต่อสู้เพื่ออุดมการณ์ทางการเมืองเป็นหลักขึ้นอยู่กับบริบทของระดับปัญหาทางการเมืองภายในที่เวียดนามใต้อยู่ในสภาวะความโกลาหลทางการเมืองรวมทั้งสภาวะสงครามที่เพิ่มความรุนแรงมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ ปัจจัยเหล่านี้มีผลต่อรูปแบบการเคลื่อนไหวของขบวนการนักศึกษาและการออกมาตรการในการตอบโต้โดยรัฐ ขบวนการนักศึกษามีอยู่หลากหลายกลุ่มทั้งที่ทำงานร่วมกับรัฐและต่อต้านรัฐ การเติบโตของขบวนการนักศึกษาเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างมากภายใต้การเปิดเสรีเรื่องการศึกษาซึ่งได้รับความช่วยเหลือจากสหรัฐอเมริกา ทั้งนี้ชาตินิยมในหมู่นักศึกษาเวียดนามใต้มิใช่การจำกัดกรอบเพียงแค่การต่อต้านรัฐบาลและอเมริกา ทว่ายังหมายรวมถึงการพยายามสร้างชาติภายใต้สภาวะสงครามและต่อต้านรัฐบาลอำนาจนิยมด้วยการถกเถียงเรื่องการสร้างชาติ ความรักชาติ วัฒนธรรมแห่งชาติและต่างชาติ อย่างไรก็ตามหลังปี 1975 ขบวนการนักศึกษาเวียดนามไม่ได้มีบทบาททางการเมืองเช่นในยุคสงครามเย็น

Georgia's historical markers highlight significant events in Georgia's history in the location where they happened– they are meant to be understood and consumed by the general public. Due to the widespread development of the Lost Cause narrative in the post-Confederate South, particularly during the 1950s and 1960s, historical markers concerning Sherman's March to the Sea contain many false notions about General Sherman and his Union soldiers. This Article makes three main contributions. First, it fleshes out the theory of separation of structures as distinct from contemporary scholarly approaches. Second, it writes the intellectual history of separation of structures, which has been an integral part of the separation of powers enterprise since its inception, including at the Founding. Third, it explores the scholarly and doctrinal implications of structural separation of powers. In particular, adjudicating the constitutionality of agency structures requires methodological pluralism that incorporates the normative values underlying the structural design. This Article addresses the growing nexus between climate change and various conceptions of security with a particular emphasis on climate change's national security impacts. This Article argues that there is a growing connection between national security and climate change and a corresponding need to address the normative implications of "climatizing national security." วัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาองค์ความรู้เกี่ยวข้องกับอากาศยานไร้คนขับ (โดรน) แนวทางที่เหมาะสมในการรับมือ และแนวทางในการป้องกันอาชญากรรมที่เกี่ยวกับอากาศยานไร้คนขับ (โดรน) วิธีการดำเนินการวิจัย กลุ่มผู้ให้ข้อมูลในการวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นบุคคลที่มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับอากาศยานไร้คนขับ (โดรน) คัดเลือกผูู้ให้ข้อมูลแบบเจาะจง ได้แก่ นักบินตำรวจ 1 ท่าน สำนักงานการบินพลเรือน (CAAT) 1 ท่าน คณะกรรมการกิจการกระจายเสียง กิจการโทรทัศน์ และกิจการโทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติ (กสทช.) 1 ท่าน อัยการ 2 ท่าน และประชาชนที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับอากาศยานไร้คนขับ (โดรน) 1 ท่าน โดยใช้ การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-depth Interview) เป็นเครื่องมือเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล จากนั้นใช้การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา (Content analysis) และพรรณนาถึงประเด็นต่างๆ ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า (1) ปัญหา รูปแบบ และวิธีการของการใช้อากาศยานไร้คนขับ (โดรน) ที่พบในประเทศไทย พบว่าเริ่มมีการกระทำผิด ซึ่งการกระทำผิดนั้นไม่สามารถระบุตัวตนของผู้กระทำผิดได้ เนื่องจากอากาศยานไร้คนขับ (โดรน) ไม่ได้ขึ้นทะเบียน และมีการใช้อากาศยานไร้คนขับ (โดรน) ละเมิดสิทธิส่วนบุคคลโดยการกระทำผิดเกี่ยวกับการถ่ายภาพ และรุกล้ำพื้นที่ส่วนบุคคล ซึ่งยังไม่สามารถเอาผิดได้ จึงทำให้ทราบเพียงว่ามีการกระทำผิด (2) การรับมือเบื้องต้น ปัจจุบันจะมีเครื่องมือที่เรียกว่า Anti Drone ซึ่งอยู่ในการดูแลของทหาร เแต่ยังไม่มีกฎหมายรองรับ (3) แนวทางการป้องกันการกระทำผิด พบว่ายังไม่มีหน่วยงานใดเข้ามาดูแลอย่างจริงจัง ทำให้การกระทำผิดยังเกิดขึ้นบ่อยครั้ง ควรมีหน่วยงานควบคุมดูแลอย่างจริงจัง และออกกฎหรือข้อบังคับเป็นแนวทางเดียวกัน ข้อเสนอแนะ รัฐบาลควรให้ความสำคัญกับหน่วยงานหรือศูนย์ที่จะดูแล ออกกฎหมายหรือนโยบาย จัดการและบริหารควบคุมให้มากขึ้น รวมถึงควรมีการกำหนดหน้าที่ของแต่ละหน่วยงานให้มีความชัดเจน

ความขัดแย้งในจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ของไทย ซึ่งมีประวัติศาสตร์ยาวนานและทวีความรุนแรงในช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2547 ซึ่งได้รับการศึกษาอย่างกว้างขวางตลอด 20 ปีที่ผ่านมา โดยงานวิจัยนี้จึงมุ่งศึกษาการปรับเปลี่ยนยุทธศาสตร์ของนักกิจกรรมทางการเมืองที่ผลักดันการกำหนดชะตากรรมตนเองและปราถานาเอกราชปาตานี สู่การก่อตั้งกลุ่ม ปาตานี บา โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) อธิบายปรากฏการณ์การเปลี่ยนรูปแบบจากขบวนการเคลื่อนไหวทางสังคมสู่กลุ่มการเมืองเชิงสถาบัน และ 2) วิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างกลุ่มดังกล่าวกับพรรคการเมือง ผลการวิจัยชี้ว่า การก่อตั้งกลุ่มปาตานี บารู เป็นผลจากปัจจัยเชิงโครงสร้างทางการเมือง คือ การเปิดพื้นที่ทางการเมืองระดับชาติ ซึ่งสวนทางกับโครงสร้างทางการเมืองที่ยังคงปิดกั้นและจำกัดสิทธิในพื้นที่ปาตานี/จังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้ด้วยกฎหมายพิเศษ ด้านความสัมพันธ์กับพรรคการเมือง กลุ่มปาตานี บารู กำหนดเงื่อนไข 4 ประการในการพิจารณาร่วมงาน ได้แก่ การเป็นพรรคประชาธิปไตย ความสามารถในการกำหนดนโยบายเกี่ยวกับปาตานี อำนาจบริหารงานการเมืองในพื้นที่ และการสนับสนุนทรัพยากรในการเลือกตั้ง ทั้งนี้พบว่ากลุ่มปาตานี บารู ได้รับการยอมรับและบทบาทที่แตกต่างกันระหว่างพรรคการเมืองที่เคยร่วมงานด้วย

The experiences of women in leadership have been well studied in academia, but there remains a gap in the literature regarding and understanding of the experiences of women who are in religious leadership roles. I examined what challenges these women experience in their roles, and how they make sense of those challenges, using the constant comparative method of data analysis to analyze interviews with 12 women who have leadership roles within their protestant church or nonprofit organization. The Mission period in the southeastern United States (beginning around 1565 AD) was characterized by dramatic social and demographic change. Coastal tribes, which include the Guale, Mocama, Orista, and Yamasee, among others, were simultaneously faced with the challenge of negotiating new relationships with Europeans and the global economy, the spread of new diseases, an influx of refugees displaced by violence, and the threat of increasingly prevalent slave raiding. งานวิจัยฉบับนี้ศึกษาบทบาทพระธรรมทูตไทยสายอินเดียซึ่งนับเป็นตัวแสดงสำคัญในการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศผ่านกิจกรรมทางพระพุทธศาสนาและสังคมสงเคราะห์ร่วมกับตัวแสดงในระดับต่าง ๆ ประกอบด้วย หน่วยงานด้านการต่างประเทศไทย รัฐบาลท้องถิ่นอินเดีย และสาธารณชนอินเดีย ทั้งหมดมีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับการเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือและปฏิสัมพันธ์ทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างไทยและอินเดีย งานวิจัยฉบับนี้ใช้วิธีการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพและวิเคราะห์ผลการศึกษาตามกรอบแนวคิดว่าด้วยการทูตวัฒนธรรมที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงกลไกการทำงานของพระธรรมทูตและการสร้างปฏิสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมที่มาจากการสื่อสารสองทาง โดยพิจารณาขอบเขตด้านเวลาตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2500 ในการก่อตั้งวัดไทยพุทธคยา ที่เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของความสัมพันธ์ทางพระพุทธศาสนาอย่างเป็นทางการ บทบาทพระธรรมทูตไทยสายอินเดียต้องเผชิญกับความท้าทายในด้านความแตกต่างทางวัฒนธรรม ภาษา ศาสนา และวิถีชีวิต เพื่อปรับตัวให้เข้ากับสาธารณชนอินเดียและสามารถดำรงบทบาทในฐานะผู้แทนทางพระพุทธศาสนาในต่างประเทศอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ตลอดจนสามารถนำมาซึ่งความไว้เนื้อเชื่อใจของสาธารณชนอินเดียที่มีต่อไทย จากการศึกษาพบว่าพระธรรมทูตไทยไม่ได้มีเพียงบทบาทในการเผยแผ่พระพุทธศาสนาเพียงอย่างเดียว แต่ยังมีบทบาทสำคัญในการเป็นศูนย์รวมจิตใจต่อสาธารณชนในพื้นที่และผู้ที่เดินทางมาจาริกแสวงบุญในพื้นที่สังเวชนียสถานทั้งสี่ตำบล และมีบทบาทในการสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีต่อสาธารณชนอินเดียจากการส่งเสริมกิจกรรมทางพระพุทธศาสนาและสังคมสงเคราะห์ ทำให้การขับเคลื่อนการทูตวัฒนธรรมไทยดำเนินไปอย่างยั่งยืนจากความศรัทธาและร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและอินเดียอย่างแน่นแฟ้น พร้อมทั้งเสริมสร้างภาพลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมและพระพุทธศาสนาเถรวาทไทยให้กลายเป็นจุดเด่นในสังคมอินเดีย ในขณะเดียวกัน พระธรรมทูตไทยได้มีบทบาทมากยิ่งขึ้นต่อการเจริญสัมพันธ์ไมตรีในต่างประเทศและได้รับการตอบสนองเป็นอย่างดีจากสาธารณชนและรัฐบาลท้องถิ่นของอินเดีย โดยวัดไทยในอินเดียได้มีจำนวนเพิ่มมากขึ้นเพื่อเป็นศูนย์อำนวยการช่วยเหลือพุทธศาสนิกชนที่เดินทางมาจาริกแสวงบุญ บทบาทพระธรรมทูตไทยได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงบทบาทในการขับเคลื่อนพระพุทธศาสนา วัฒนธรรม คุณภาพชีวิต และการท่องเที่ยว ทำให้การเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและอินเดียดำเนินต่อไปอย่างยั่งยืนภายใต้พื้นฐานของความเข้าใจอันดี อย่างไรก็ตาม ผลลัพธ์ของการทูตวัฒนธรรมไม่สามารถสำเร็จได้ภายในระยะเวลาอันสั้น แต่ต้องถูกสั่งสมจนเกิดความไว้เนื้อเชื้อใจที่แสดงออกผ่านการมีปฏิสัมพันธ์ ความร่วมมือ และนโยบายต่างประเทศ ด้วยเหตุนี้ การศึกษาประเด็นความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศสามารถพิจารณาถึงการทูตวัฒนธรรมที่เป็นอีกหนึ่งหนทางในการแสวงหาซึ่งผลประโยชน์แห่งชาติ โดยมีพระธรรมทูตไทยเป็นตัวแสดงทางการทูตที่มีส่วนสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศและเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการตอบสนองเจตนารมณ์ตามแผนแม่บทภายใต้ยุทธศาสตร์ชาติประเด็นการต่างประเทศ

Despite Thailand’s image as a “living paradise” for LGBTQ+ individuals, empirical research on social acceptance and family formation remains limited. Public discourse has questioned whether the growing visibility of LGBTQ+ populations may contribute to the national fertility decline.
