Physician Representation In The National Government: The Washington Office Of The A.M.A., Maria Cherner
Student Scholarship
This report provides a descriptive study of physician representation within the national government, specifically focusing on the structure and history of the American Medical Association Washington Office. The American Medical Association was established in 1847 to elevate medical education standards and promote the interests of the medical profession. Despite its long history, the Association did not establish a formal Washington office until 1944. This development was spurred by a growing need to inform physicians of pending legislation and to bring professional medical opinions to the nation's capital. In the process of coaching, one of the more valuable techniques is the correction of faulty techniques which distract from the best performance. It is the purpose of this thesis to bring together from authoritative sources and observation some of the more common errors of technique, which make for faulty performance in eight track and field events.
Each event has been broken down or separated into the more or less logical areas of operation. For instance, the sprint races break down into four areas, while the pole value breaks down into eleven areas. Each technique has been photographed both positive …

This is a very thorough manual which can be viewed as a detailed definition of Signal Corps technical intelligence and of the role of the Signal Corps Intelligence Agency (SCIA). When this was published the field of Signal Corps technical intelligence was about 15 years old and the SCIA was about six years old.
