Collective Security In The Pacific With Particular Reference To Seato, Eunuel Valdez Berbano Jan 1956

Collective Security In The Pacific With Particular Reference To Seato, Eunuel Valdez Berbano

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

Few terms are more popular today than “collective security,” and few are used with such diverse meanings.

Former Secretary of State Dean Acheson used the term no fewer than fourteen times in his address at the opening meeting of the Sixth Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations on September 20, 1950. Political And Economic Factors In The Decline Of The British Empire, Pasquale Anania Jan 1956

Political And Economic Factors In The Decline Of The British Empire, Pasquale Anania

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

The decline of British influence in world affairs is one of the more pronounced political phenomena of modern times. Over the past century key territories subject to British rule have been slipping loose from their imperial moorings at an ever more rapid rate. Those remaining subject to British authority grow progressively more belligerent.

One or another student or history has argued that specific instances or groups of these processes are …
