Hillsborough County: Framework Of The Plan Report, Hillsborough County Planning Commission

City and Regional Planning -- Florida

Hillsborough County's future physical growth will be built upon the base comprised of the existing development pattern : (a) Although the geographic location of Hillsborough is unalterable, man-made improvements to the natural setting are required to adapt the land form to present and future functions. Area Analysis Intelligence Plan, Chief Of Engineers, Department Of The Army, Robert Bolin , Depositor

United States Department of Defense Military Intelligence

Reorganization of the Army and creation of the Defense Intelligence Agency by Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara lead to the creation of the Area Intelligence Analysis Agency.

For 20 years before 1962, the concept of technical intelligence had evolved in the US Army. Originally the Army Technical Services were charged with producing intelligence about German and Japanese weapons and about organizations analogous to the Army Technical Services in the German and Japanese armed forces.

The Army Technical Services were bureaus within the Headquarters, Department of the Army, which supplied weapons, equipment, and services to the Army, managed the careers of …

With increasing frequency business publications as well as general circulation journals have carried announcements of the establishment of new plants or the relocation of existing factories. These changes, in the location of this phase of man's activities, are affected to a large extent by geography. The purpose of this study is to consider some of the influences of geography on the location of industrial productive facilities.

The Acadian Migrations, Robert G. Leblanc Jan 1962

The Acadian Migrations, Robert G. Leblanc

Journal of the Minnesota Academy of Science

The cultural diversity of people and shifting national boundaries have often led to political instability by the creation of enclaves and exclaves of minority groups. One means by which such situations may be rectified is the forced migrations of peoples across international boundaries. Perhaps the most recent example of this was the measures· taken in the Central European "shatter zone" following World War II to eliminate the minority problems that existed there before the War. The colonial history of North America provides a comparable situation. During the course of the Anglo-French struggle for control of North America a new boundary …

Characteristics Of Closed Christian Churches In Selected States, 1920-1957, Charles Beecher Barr Jan 1962

Characteristics Of Closed Christian Churches In Selected States, 1920-1957, Charles Beecher Barr

Graduate Thesis Collection

It is not the purpose of this study to find the answer to the question which has often been asked, "Why have so many churches closed?" Finding the answer to this question is possibly an ultimate or underlying purpose, but it is not anticipated that the study will answer the question. Very little study is given to the processes which operate to cause the demise of particular congregations. Attention is rather focused on statistical data which are easily obtainable and the attempt is made to determine which of these are significantly related to the fact of closing.

Navigation On The San Joaquin River, 1848-1925, John Wynn Birtwhistle

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

This thesis is a history of the navigation on the San Joaquin River from 1848 until 1925. The main purpose of the thesis will be to examine chronologically any and all events and factors concerned with the navigation of the river during that period of time.
