The Anchor, Volume 93.10: November 13, 1980, Hope College

The Anchor: 1980

The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

The Midwest Quarterly: A Journal of Contemporary Thought

in this issue. . .

FLEXIBILITY and informality of administration, operation, and organization have been among the hallmarks of this journal since its inception ten years ago; to them, add interchangeability of parts. When the Editor in Chief had a semester's leave in 1964, REBECCA PATTERSON moved easily into his chair to keep contributors happy= printers contented, and subscribers satisfied. The writer embarks on this topic in the hope that it may provide the American student of Middle Eastern …
