A Prehistoric Habitation Site On The St. Croix River, Ralph D. Brown Jan 1935

A Prehistoric Habitation Site On The St. Croix River, Ralph D. Brown

Journal of the Minnesota Academy of Science

The recent report of the discovery of a prehistoric rock shelter or cave habitation site on the St. Croix River was received with considerable interest, for such sites have often been the source of important information in the field of archaeology. However, they are very rare in the Northwest; and, although in southern Minnesota there are in some places many caves and shelters, there is no evidence, with very few exceptions, that any of them was ever occupied. Superstitions Of Grayson County, Elza Fentress Jul 1934

Superstitions Of Grayson County, Elza Fentress

Masters Theses & Specialist Projects

For this collection of odd beliefs to serve as an amusement to the curious is not the purpose of this treatment of superstitions. The end sought is not humor or satire. It is not the intention of the author to cast a reflection in any form upon persons who are inclined to be superstitious. A belief in superstitions is by far more widespread than most people would suspect. Is it not true that superstitions swayed the minds of people in earlier centuries? Are we not descendants of these people? We hear many of their songs; their laws were the forerunners …
