Experts in the field of prematurity have stressed the needs for an intensive follow-up program for premature infants after discharge from the hospital and cited the important role that public health nurses can play. It was hypothesized that there are needs of the high risk premature infant significant to public health nursing follow-up.
The descriptive survey method and an interview schedule was the selected manner for obtaining necessary data. A Study To Ascertain Why A Selected Group Of Women Do Or Do Not Have Cervical Smear Cytologic Examinations For Cancer Detection, Jeanette Rudy Earnhardt

It was the purpose of this survey to find out the awareness of a selected group of Seventh-day Adventist women regarding the importance of cervical smear examinations in cancer detection; and to identify the need for health teaching in the prevention and control of uterine cervical cancer among women of this group. The 1715 women attending meetings at the General Conference Session in San Francisco July of 1962, who completed questionnaires were considered to be the participants in this study.

The In Vivo Effects Of Hydrazines And Vitamin B6 On The Metabolism Of Gamma_Aminobutyric Acid, Miguel Angel Median
Theses
The discovery of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in mammalian brain and its rigorous identification was reported in 1950 (1,2,3). Enzymatic experiments with brain acetone powder revealed that GABA was formed by the decarboxylation of glutamic acid and that the enzyme, glutamic acid decarboxylase, required pyridoxal phosphate as the co-factor (4,5). Radioactive tracer studies in vivo and in vitro with glutamic acid and glucose verfied the fact that the former was the precursor of GABA (6,7).
