A Comparison Of Characteristics Of Terminated Afdc Cases With Cases Remaining Active From The June 1966 Afdc Load In Linn County, Oregon, William Everett Lowther

A study of the characteristics of AFDC cases active in Linn County, Oregon in June 1966 and of the difference in characteristics between those cases closed by September 1, 1967, and those cases remaining active on that date. The source of data was the case records of the Linn County Department of Public Welfare. There were 212 cases in the study with 200 suitable for full analysis.

The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that there is a difference in selected characteristics between cases remaining active and cases that close. Case records were read and then characteristics …

The Octofoil is the offical publication of the Ninth Infantry Division Association, Inc., an organization formed by the officers and men of the 9th Infantry Division in order to perpetuate the memory of fallen comrades, preserve the esprit de corps of the Division, promote peace and serve as an information bureau about the 9th Infantry Division. The Association is made up of 9th Infantry veterans from WWII and Vietnam, spouses, widows and lineal descendants.

On September 29, 1967, Armour and. Company announced that effective six months from that date, the Omaha Armour plant would be closed, displacing a labor force of approximately 2, 200 workers. This statement, announcing the closing of the third meatpacking firm in Omaha within the past two years, was startling and indicative of far- reaching consequences for Omaha, its people and economy. Numerous social agencies, along with the Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska Employment Service, became involved in joining together in a united effort through the development of their own organization-- ACT, the Armour Coordinating Team. United States Department of Defense Military Intelligence

This order established the Missile Intelligence Directorate (MID) as an intelligence agency assigned to the US Army Missile Command to “… develop, maintain, and disseminate foreign scientific and technical intelligence concerning ground forces, surface-to-surface, surface-to-air, and anti-ballistic missile systems in response to valid Department of Defense, Department of the Army, and Army Materiel Command production requirements.”

This order established the second intelligence production organization within the Army Materiel Command. The first being the US Army Foreign Science and Technology Center.

The objective of this study was to develop a digital computer procedure for preliminary analysis of the economic justification of reservoir detention storage for flood control and to present a sample study illustrating its application. A computer program called the University of Kentucky Flood Control Planning Program III was developed and tested on the flood plain of the South Fork of the Licking River in northeastern Kentucky.
