This paper will focus upon the value positions underlying two social work models: the traditional or psychodynamic and that of behavior modification. It is recognized that there are areas in which those two approaches do not seem far removed, e.g., with some neo-behaviorists and/or some ego psychologists. However, to the extent that the lines become very blurred, so does the clarity of position or practice. Pfungstadt is a small German town which to date has not earned a footnote in the histories of either the Weimar Republic or the Third Reich. Based upon the efforts of men in towns like Pfungstadt (and towns which were not like Pfungstadt) the members of the Nazi party built a political structure which reached to the pinnacle upon which Adolf Hitler stood. Researching the growth of the Nazi party, the intense struggles that occurred with democratic forces, the seizure of power and the installation of a workable system of government is the problem. A Regional Approach: City-County Consolidation As A Method Of Local Governmental Reorganization, Anthony Gene White

Dissertations and Theses

City-county consolidated governments are examined to isolate factors important to the success of the consolidation process, and are measured against objective and subjective criteria for the operation of such governments. Data are obtained through survey techniques and statistical analysis of demographic information. Results indicate that such success-oriented consolidation factors inherent in city-county governments do exist and can be interrelated in a mathematical model. Consolidated governments appear to improve their ability to handle urban problems, and officials of consolidated governments are more confident of their ability to handle these problems than are officials of other metropolitan governments reorganized in different manners.

Project "Foresight" at this time is concentrating on two major objectives: (1) the development of the first phase of a Willamette Valley Environmental Protection Plan, and (2) refine and sustain a process for resolving intergovernmental, interregional, and interagency conflicts.

The primary responsibility of accomplishing this task has been given to the Executive Department's Local Government Relations Division. Three intergovernmental task forces have been formed, for Economic Policy, Transportation, and Natural Resources; and state, local government, and Federal personnel are members. Purpose of the Study The primary purpose of the study was to determine whether a common core of professional competancies for agricultural educators could be identified. The study was also designed to identify and differentiate professional competencies most important for individual respondent groups. This paper is an examination of the foreign policy attitudes of Indiana's United States Senators and Representatives during the critical years before the Second World War. My purpose is to determine whether these particular Mid-Westerners were a part of the isolationist bloc in Congress which exerted a significant influence on the formulation of foreign policy. The scope of the study is limited to an elucidation of the individual views as expressed in Congress b the members of the delegation and an analysis of the campaign for re-election waged by each of them as it relates to the broader issue.

The Octofoil is the offical publication of the Ninth Infantry Division Association, Inc., an organization formed by the officers and men of the 9th Infantry Division in order to perpetuate the memory of fallen comrades, preserve the esprit de corps of the Division, promote peace and serve as an information bureau about the 9th Infantry Division. The Association is made up of 9th Infantry veterans from WWII and Vietnam, spouses, widows and lineal descendants.

Despite some efforts to save it, the passenger train has been approaching extinction since the end of World War II.

Public Law 91-518, the "Rail Passenger Service Act of 1970", was signed into existence on October 30, 1970, by President Nixon. It is the latest attempt to save the dying passenger train, and the first major Congressional effort since 1958.

It is this latest attempt to save the passenger train which is the subject of this thesis. It will be the purpose of the thesis to try to verify the hypothesis that many interested parties would be drawn into the …
