This report is one in a series of terrain analysis procedural guides being developed in support of the Topographic Support System (TSS). It was written specifically for a U.S. Army terrain analyst and presents the step-by- step methods needed for extraction, reducing, and recording soil information on a factor overlay and supporting data table. It is a contribution to the Department of Defense terrain intelligence effort.

The report contains a detailed bibliography and a lengthy glossary.

A Survey Of Administrative Trends In Sport Club Programs Of Selected Colleges & Universities In The United States, David Dean

The purpose of this study was to investigate and identify organizational and administrative trends in university club sports. The general research design was the survey via a questionnaire distributed through the mail. The sample was limited to the 102 colleges and universities with student populations between 10,000 and 17,000 as listed with the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association Directory. The questions were developed under the general topic area headings: Departmental Supervision, Sponsored Clubs, Memberships, Departmental Financing, Budget, Budget Expenditures, Contest Arrangements, Class Excuses, Academic Standards, Locker Space, Office Space, Varsity Status, Legal Liability and Facilities.

The Eliot Neighborhood Plan is the product of the Comprehensive Planning Workshop conducted by the School of Urban Affairs at Portland State University. The planning team consisted of thirteen graduate students in consultation with Professors Thomas Gihring and Sumner Sharpe.

Entry Level Manpower Needs In The Omaha Metropolitan Area, Vincent J. Webb, Michael Eskey

The majo1· purpose of this study was to develop a data base of projected employment in the Omaha SMSA. The study sought to reveal short-term occupational projections of Omaha employers. Reported growth, decline, and turnover in selected occupations were the key factors considered, and data were also gathered on the educational, training, and experience requirements of employers for entry level positions in occupations studied. This study should meet the needs of administrators, planners, and counselors for information on occupational trends so that they can engage in effective manpower training.
