The Relationship Between Personality Characteristics And Job Satisfaction Of Secondary Marketing Education Teachers, Connie Kay Staehr Plessman
Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communication: Dissertations, Theses, and Student Research
The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the personality characteristics of secondary marketing teachers, and (2) to examine the relationship between personality characteristics and selected demographic and attitudinal variables with job satisfaction (intrinsic, extrinsic, and general) of marketing teachers. A random sample of 475 marketing teachers was drawn from the membership of the national Marketing Education Association; responses were received from 73 percent of the marketing teachers surveyed. Two instruments, the Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator and the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire, were combined with attitudinal and demographic questions for use in data collection. Dropping Out Of High School: An Inside Look, Michelle Fine
Dropping Out Of High School: An Inside Look, Michelle Fine
Publications and Research
In September, 1984, I began an ethnography of student life in and out of a New York City public high school to figure out why urban students drop out of high school at such extraordinary rates. By December, why urban students stay in high school through graduation struck me as an equally compelling question.

Determinant Factors In The Utilization Process Of Social Services In Saudi Arabia, Fahd Abdullah Ali Dileym
Determinant Factors In The Utilization Process Of Social Services In Saudi Arabia, Fahd Abdullah Ali Dileym
Dissertations
The Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare and the Deputy Ministry of Social Security provide a spectrum of social service programs and activities. However, utilization of the designated services is incapacitated by the existing gap between the potential clients and the social service providers. Certain barriers have contributed significantly to the clients' underutilization behavior of the assigned services.
Accordingly, this study had two purposes: (a) to determine whether social services provided by the Deputy Ministries of Social Welfare and Social Security are perceived by administrators, social workers, and college students to be underutilized; and (b) to compare the perceptions of the …

Railroads In Tuolumne County, California : Their Role And Importance To Specific Industries And Their Impact On County Economic Development, 1897-1917, Kyle K. Wyatt
University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations
During most of the nineteenth century and the early years of the twentieth numerous railroads were built throughout America. Some. grew into gigantic systems with names we recognize today; Southern Pacific, Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe, Chesapeake & Ohio. Others faded into oblivion. But all, successful or not, were built to fill transportation needs.
In Tuolumne County, California, located along the Mother. Lode and stretching into the high Sierra Nevada, the first railroad reached the county in 1897. By World War I a number of rail lines had been built. Several, having served their purpose, had already been removed by …
