TEST A: The manufacturer's representative operates the tractor for a minimum of 12 hours using light to heavy drawbar loads in each gear.

This serves as a period for limber up, general observation and adjustments. Adjustments that are permissible include valve tappet clearance, breaker ,point gap, spark plug gaps, clutch and others of a similar nature. No new parts or accessories can be installed without having mention made of it in the report. No data' are recorded during this preliminary run except the time that the engine is operated.

"There is at the present time no commercially developed source of the metal rhenium in the United States. Since this metal is known to exist in molybdenite, it was felt that a study of the products of the metallurgical processing of this mineral might reveal a source of rhenium that could e developed. The Climax Molybdenum Co. provided a number of samples from their smelter at Langloth, Pennsylvania. Although an improved method for the quantitative estimation of rhenium was recently published, its accuracy was not high and the procedure exacting and time-consuming. "Conodonts were discovered in the limestones of the Marathon region in the Big Bend country, Brewster County, Texas, as a result of field work during the summer of 1939. This was not the first known occurrence of these fossils from this region, however, as King earlier mentioned the occurrence of conodonts in siliceous shales of Devonian age. The discovery of conodonts in the Ordovician and Pennsylvanian limestones of the area had its inception in the attempt to determine whether the Dimple limestone (lower Pennsylvanian) or Maravillas limestone (upper Ordovician) was involved in a fault that was being mapped. The earliest record of the Museum states that in June of 1874 Professor Samuel Aughey was appointed Director of Cabinets. He was succeeded by Professor Lewis E. Hicks in June, 1885. Little work was carried on in paleontology, however, until Dr. Erwin H. Barbour took charge in 1891 and organized the first expeditions. In 1893, Mr. Charles H. This research was undertaken in order to study the breaking of the double bonds in a benzene ring by some means other than direct hydrogenation. A study of the literature reveals that the benzene ring has been broken up by chlorination giving hexachlorides of benzene as products of the reaction. But no information regarding the hexachlorides themselves or their method of preparation could be found in the current literature.

Much has been written on the testing of organic compounds to inhibit the sulfuric acid corrosion in the pickling of steel. For the most part, however, this has been confined to work either on commercial inhibitors which are usually coal tar derivatives of unknown composition, or upon complex amines or sulfonates with little attention paid to comparing the types of polar linkages. The emphasis has been placed on the complexity of molecular structure rather than a thorough analysis of what structure really means in inhibiting action.
