Controlled medical terminologies that have been developed to describe terms utilized in the field of Radiation Oncology, include SNOMED-CT and DICOM-RT. However, a literature review has failed to provide evidence that the coverage and the level of granularity of these nomenclatures have satisfied the needs of radiation oncologists. Indeed most investigations conclude that the coverage is generally unsatisfactory. Fur-thermore, there is no evidence that an objective specification of the specialist medical terms used in Radiation Oncology has been developed. This fast abstract briefly discusses lessons learned in terms of how to overcome limitations of PDA devices, effectively capture requirements for mobile health application development and effectively reengineer a desktop application on PDA. The burden of paper-based nursing documentation has led to increasing complaints and decreasing job satisfaction amongst aged-care workers in Australian nursing homes. The automation of nursing documentation has been identified as one of the possible strategies to address this issue. A major obstacle to the introduction of IT solutions, however, has been a prevailing doubt concerning the ability and/or the willingness of aged-care workers to accept such innovation . This research investigates the attitudes of aged-care workers towards adopting IT innovation. This paper describes how a method for evaluating organisational change based on the theory of logical types can be used for classifying organisational change processes to understand change after the implementation of an electronic documentation system in a residential aged care facility. In this instance we assess the organisational change reflected by care staff's perceptions of the benefits of the new documentation system at one site, at pre-implementation, and at 12 months post-implementation. As one of the most popular information safeguarding mechanisms, access control is widely deployed in information systems. However, access control approach suffers from a tough problem, i.e. system administrators must be unconditionally trusted. Cryptographic substitutes have been developed to solve the above problem. This paper reviews the development of aged care IT innovations in Australia in the past decade. It starts with a brief description of the establishment of the Aged Care eConnect project by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing to promote aged care IT. This is followed by a snapshot of the aged care associations' and research groups' promotional activities. The roles of government, industry peak bodies, aged care providers, aged care IT application providers and researchers for the diffusion of aged care IT innovations are analysed.
