Ulcers that form in the oral mucosa are a hallmark of recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS), a chronic inflammatory disease. Up to 25% of the population may get aphthous ulcers, and recurrence rates within three months can reach 50%. Among women, it is more prevalent. Hashimoto thyroiditis (HT) is a common autoimmune disorder, affecting women 7–10 times more often than men, that develops because of genetic susceptibility, X chromosome inactivation patterns modulated by environmental factors as well as micro biome composition, and leads to an imbalance in self-tolerance mechanisms. The consequential thyroid infiltration by lymphocytes, potentiated by antibody-mediated autoimmune response through the antibodies against thyroid peroxidase (TPO Abs), leads to a destruction of thyrocytes. Poor nutrition and lack of physical activity increase the risk of chronic mental and physical health conditions such as depression and obesity in American adolescents. Depression is the leading mental illness found in adolescents across the United States and less than 1 in 10 children eat their recommended vegetables, only 16 % of adolescents meet U.S. physical activity guidelines, 36.3% consume fast food on a given day, and as many as 20% are obese. Access to timely, high-quality outpatient care in rural Kenya is constrained by workforce shortages, geographic barriers, and inefficiencies in care delivery. This Doctor of Nursing Practice project evaluated the impact of implementing a structured telemedicine workflow and training program for a regional mission hospital in the highlands of Western Kenya and its satellite outpatient clinic. Guided by the Iowa Model of Evidence-Based Practice, Kotter's Change Theory, and the reach, effectiveness, adoption, implementation, and maintenance (RE-AIM) framework, the project employed a quasi-experimental, pre-post design, with eight medical providers participating in structured workshops, interactive telemedicine simulations, and workflow integration exercises. Background: This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between religious attitudes and breastfeeding attitudes and the effect of this relationship on breastfeeding practices.

Methods: This study was conducted with 203 mothers with babies aged 0–24 months. Simple random sampling was used in sample selection. The Religious Attitude Scale and Breastfeeding Attitudes of the Evaluation Scale were used in data collection.

The literature emphasized the positive impact of huddles on staff communication, awareness, and collaboration which ultimately created a safe environment. Objective: Hospital-acquired pressure injuries remain a patient safety concern despite standard practice of nurses’ prevention protocols (National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, 2022). Barriers include: inconsistent two-hour repositioning, documentation burden, inadequate staffing, lack of visual cues of patient risk level, and inconsistent compliance with the overall comprehensive prevention bundle (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2023).

Abstract: Background Although pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is prioritised for men at heightened risk of HIV, examining the determinants of PrEP awareness and acceptability among men in the general population is essential for informing inclusive and effective HIV prevention strategies in Kenya.

Methods: We analyzed secondary data from the 2022 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS), which comprised 14,402 men aged 18–54 years who were selected using a two-stage stratified sampling. Data were analysed using univariable and multivariable logistic regression analyses using SPSS (version 29).

Physical inactivity is a growing problem for the health and wellbeing of the world’s population. Increases in physical activity may help to improve health outcomes for the general population of the United States. This study is two-fold and seeks to determine if community-based exercise groups are successful in improving the health of people with preexisting conditions and encouraging community members to adhere to an exercise program.
