Among the goals of recent supported work employment programs is improvement of competitive employment opportunities for individuals who suffer from chronic mental illness, and for whom competitive employment outcomes are poor. This study examined the effects of a vocational rehabilitation program, Project Success (Skills Upgrade: Client Centered Empowerment Supportive Services), on self esteem and quality of life for chronically mentally ill participants.

This paper is a review of the literature on mobile crisis services and other forms of modern crisis intervention services. It is the first part of a larger project, termed the North Central West Virginia Crisis Study. The purpose of this literature review is to identify recent published literature on crisis services, with particular attention to crisis response services. No attempt has been made to survey the voluminous literature on crisis intervention practice skills and techniques.

One of the most useful genres of personal computer software for human service administrators is the electronic spreadsheet. Despite its status as the single most important reason for the commercial success of the personal computer (or PC), spreadsheets have received scant attention in human service administration. An extended search of the major electronic bibliographies and information services turned up no references to spreadsheets in the human service literature.
