Hypertension is a chronic condition that adversely affects quality of life (QoL). Identifying factors associated with QoL is essential for improving hypertension management. This study aimed to identify factors associated with QoL among hypertensive patients in Riau Province, Indonesia. A cross-sectional study was conducted from December 2024 to January 2025 at two public health centers in Riau Province: Puskesmas Rejosari in Pekanbaru City and Puskesmas Bagansiapi-api in Rokan Hilir Regency. A total of 150 hypertensive patients aged 25-59 years were enrolled. QoL was assessed using the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. Sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma (SNSCC) comprises a heterogeneous group of tumors with emerging molecular subtypes. Human papillomavirus (HPV)-associated SNSCC is a distinct entity, although actionable genomic alterations beyond HPV-driven pathways remain underexplored. Distinguishing HPV-associated SNSCC from carcinoma ex inverted papilloma can be particularly challenging in limited biopsy specimens, as these lesions may appear morphologically similar. We report a case of HPV-associated SNSCC with concurrent FGFR3::TACC3 fusion and NOTCH1 p.C1416 stop-gain mutation.

Introduction: Healthcare professionals often implement quality improvement (QI) initiatives but lack training to implement and sustain QI initiatives. Leading Healthcare Improvement (LHI) is a course that combines principles from change management, team science, and leadership effectiveness into an implementation strategy to enable clinicians to lead sustainable change.

Methods: LHI is a 6-session, 4-month interactive training. Learners work on an active QI project throughout the course. A Wilcoxon signed-rank test was conducted to evaluate pre- and post-course changes in learners' self-reported confidence across five QI competencies.

A 10-year-old castrated male Korean Shorthair cat was presented with a 5-day history of lethargy and nonambulatory paraparesis. Neurological examination revealed delayed postural reactions in both pelvic limbs. Initial radiography of the lumbar spine revealed narrowing of the L7–S1 intervertebral disc space with ventral bony proliferation. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed collapse of the L7–S1 intervertebral disc space with heterogeneous T2-weighted hyperintensity and ventral contrast enhancement of the affected disc, as well as contrast enhancement of the adjacent paraspinal musculature. INTRODUCTION: This scoping review examined existing interventions designed to promote and educate about HPV vaccination in the league of Arab states (LAS).

METHODS: Following PRISMA-ScR guidelines and using a PICOS-informed approach, a comprehensive search was conducted across 16 databases to identify peer-reviewed intervention studies published between 2010 and August 2025.

RESULTS: Twenty-two studies met the inclusion criteria. Most interventions originated from Egypt and Saudi Arabia and were delivered in academic or clinical settings using short, didactic, one-group pre-post designs. Only a few studies incorporated behavioral theories, digital modalities, or multi-component strategies. Nearly all studies reported short-term improvements in HPV-related knowledge …

Background: Rising cancer incidence and improved survivorship are straining the oncology workforce, increasing reliance on Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). However, there is a lack of standardized educational resources for APP radiation oncology training across practice settings. Most APPs receive variable, resource-dependent, and on-the-job training. Evidence shows that the lack of standardized training leads to gaps in foundational knowledge, reduced confidence in toxicity management, inconsistent role development, and variable satisfaction with training and transition into practice.

INTRODUCTION: Stroke is a leading cause of neurological-related death in the Caribbean. The Dominican Republic has among the highest stroke-related mortality rates in the Americas. We aimed to determine ischemic stroke etiologies, characterize comorbidities, and describe outcomes in the Dominican Republic using the TOAST (Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment) classification.

METHODS: We analyzed a multicenter quality registry between January 2022 and October 2024. Statistical analyses included Mann–Whitney U and Kruskal–Wallis tests with Bonferroni correction, chi-square tests, and Spearman correlation.

Current guidelines acknowledge the importance of both microsurgical and neuroendovascular expertise in the treatment of cerebrovascular disease. To achieve optimal care for these patients, it is becoming increasingly evident that procedural volumes impact patient outcomes. This is demonstrated across various cerebrovascular diseases.In this literature review, we demonstrate the association of volume with patient outcomes across multiple cerebrovascular disease states and interventions. Oncology prehabilitation aims to optimize patients’ physical and psychosocial function before cancer treatment, yet the specific contributions of occupational therapy (OT) remain underexplored.

Objective:

This scoping review aims to map and synthesize the existing literature describing the role and reported benefits of OT within oncology prehabilitation programs.

Methodology:

Following Arksey and O’Malley’s (2005) scoping review framework and guided by the PRISMA-ScR checklist, three databases (PubMed, CINAHL, and Web of Science) were searched. Search terms included preoperative exercise, prehabilitation, neoplasms, and cancer. Online transportation activities contribute to the increasing volume of vehicles, particularly GrabCar drivers in Malang City, which has the potential to worsen traffic congestion. Identification results showed that GrabCar drivers experienced drowsiness while driving and work fatigue due to the habit of working at night and for more than eight hours per day, accompanied by limited understanding related to defensive driving. Pregnancy and the transition to motherhood are often portrayed as joyful and fulfilling experiences, yet many women face significant emotional and psychological challenges. Maternal mental health conditions, including depression and anxiety, are among the most common complications of pregnancy and the postpartum period. Despite growing awareness, stigma, screening gaps, and limited access to care persist. In Utah, where rates are similar to or higher than national averages, expanding screening and resources will create a clearer path to better support mothers and families.

Background: Despite the widespread adoption of chemoimmunotherapy in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), the mechanisms by which cytotoxic chemotherapy engages antitumor immunity remain poorly defined. Identifying tumor-intrinsic immunogenic programs that predict and enhance responsiveness to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) is therefore of critical clinical importance.

Methods: Transcriptomic signatures of TREX1 deficiency were generated from CRISPR-engineered TNBC models and applied to multiple independent TNBC cohorts treated with chemoimmunotherapy. Trimming of the three glucose residues decorating nascent N-glycoproteins is a critical step for their entry into the endoplasmic reticulum quality control (ERQC) and recognition by ER chaperones. However, the functional relevance of the second glucose (G2) and the regulatory step upstream of its removal by glucosidase II (GCS2) remain poorly understood. Here, we report that TUSC3, a component of the oligosaccharyltransferase (OST) complex, regulates G2 to G1 trimming on N-glycosylated bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) and its Drosophila homolog Dpp to promote their ERQC entry. COVID-19 is a highly contagious disease transmitted primarily through human contact. Therefore, understanding population mobility is essential for predicting COVID-19 case trends. In this paper, we propose a novel deep learning approach for forecasting new COVID-19 cases using a neural architecture called Neural Basis Expansion Analysis for Interpretable Time Series (N-BEATS). The N-BEATS model effectively handles long input sequences and large output horizons without information loss or increased computational complexity. Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a common complication following transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) placement and is thought to result from reduced hepatic detoxification of neurotoxins. However, Zhuang et al in the World Journal of Radiology demonstrate that this understanding may be incomplete through exploration of the pathophysiology from a hemodynamic perspective. They found significant changes in cerebral blood flow (CBF) and spontaneous brain activity following TIPS. Initially, CBF increased in specific areas within the first month, followed by a return to baseline at three months.
